Since Tesla decided to use their own technology, their cars can't read speed limit from signs, as whole idea is patented by Mobileye (yeah, that's dumb). I’ve owned a SRT8 Jeep, BMW X6 and a number of other BMWs...nothing puts a smile on my face like my X. The white interior looks good after 8 months but it needs to be detailed weekly. It only takes 409 spray and/or a Mr. Eraser. I also have someone detail it once a month. I’ve had no issues after a few new car items were touched up when I took delivery. So far, it is the best car I’ve owned of over 50 in 30 years. Your review was spot on.

It's a game changer! P.S. I detail my own car. :)

I have an early 2018 version with the slow and laggy MCU1 computer, they offered to upgrade it to MCU2 for $2500, so I jumped on it. It's like having a new car again. This is probably the only car that offer upgradable hardware that's not a super/hyper car that extends the lifespan of the vehicle. In my case, if I drive this thing for 6 years+ I got my money worth. That's not going be hard with the grandfathered-in unlimited supercharger and unlimited data usage. Overall, this car work s great for my family.

@joscaca4 жыл бұрын
It’s a crossover SUV. The styling at the top tell you that. It’s way more stylist than those those big box SUVs. Those designs are not aerodynamic. Bc there is transmission on the back, there is room to to down for space and thus no need to go square box up. The car can be raised up, like in snow or something. I don’t know exactly how high it goes, as I have not tried it on my Model X. The doors popping open are on all Tesla models. Just automatic doors. It may feel or look like a minivan, but it’s definitely more of an SUV. It’s just more stylishly designed for performance. Some of my neighbors think it’s a sedan.
@GabrielPatroi4 жыл бұрын
@@joscaca you're byast because you have one and of course you like it. But for people who like SUVs for what their are, the proportions of the model X hint to something different. BMW's X6/X4 aren't boxy, the Porsche Macan as well and I can name a lot more SUVs that have stance and presence. You can jack up the model X to 9inches apparently, but nobody does that on a day to day basis.

Why is it that if I buy a blue BMW with black wheels, it will still show me the same, generic, grey BMW with regular wheels in the infotainment system ?? It seems like such a simple upgrade, Tesla did it and I wish everyone would do it

Ugh the weird speed sign reading also works like shit on my mom's BMW. it has adaptive cruise + speed limit assist, but sometimes it'll see a "50" kmh sign on the side of the highway that's meant to indicate speed for an exit towards a gas station, and not the actual highway speed limit, and if you then dont double check and accept the new speed it'll harshly decelerate to 50 on the highway and thats just dangerous... so now i always check

Also, they really need to fix the speed limit thing, because whenever I go thru a school zone it drops the speed to the school zone speed all the time, which could cause an accident if you don't push the accelerator because it's a dramatic difference and you don't need to drive slow outside of school hours or the posted hours on the school zone signs. Also, as mentioned, the issue with speed limit changes, last year they changed all the speed limits in my area, up 5 mph, which means that it's just always wrong in the car. Lets not forget about highway driving either, because the AP system will sometimes get confused about being on the highway or on a side road and then drop the max speed to side road speeds on the highway, which is a major hazzard while driving at highway speeds to suddenly drop to 1/2 the speed of traffic...

Watch the model 3 review and you'll know everything about the model Y. The Y is just a bloated 3.

@@nicholassmith7048 this is true. They did learn a lot on production and changed a number of things under the skin, but to live with they are very similar vehicles.

I love this flappy winged beast so much. I have a Model 3 Dual Motor with the acceleration boost and deeply, deeply love it - but I'd trade it for a new X in a heartbeat! Life with a Tesla as a daily is just so much better and so relaxing than anything I've ever driven. Would buy again. Now to wait for the ridiculous and wonderful Cybertruck tri-motor.

Wait....what's the recommended tire?! How can I pay attention to any of your review without knowing what Continental tire is best?!

I will say for me, I like spending money on car detailing products so I can use them myself. I wash probably 3 of our cars per week and spend an hour and a half on each car. I like working with cars so it's fun for me. Sometimes I'll go to a wash bay and use their power washer and I always end up having a car person or two coming up to me to have a conversation about cars! I love meeting people through similar interests in cars so it also helps me expand the amount of car friends I have! My dad, however, would never wash his cars himself now that he's older. He used to have other people wash them but now I wash his cars for him. Overall it just comes down to the person, not their wealth

After a decade tesla will be my fav city car, it'll basically be a taxi without the driver just sit back relax.

I’m good I’ll stick with controlling a 3.5 ton vehicle. Not some stupid sensors.

@@TheStraightPipes Old but gold!!! Love them older vintage ones better then the newer ones. First time seeing you wearing it tho. Nice one really. Oh btw to make it even more daily try to get a rubber strap from Rubber B. I got the 116681 with the rubber strap at it looks much better then the original ones. Less bling more sporty look. Oh and awesome to get a reply!!!🤩🤩
