I drove thru eastern ID on Highway 32 between Tetonia and Ashton over the summer and it was a really nice drive in my Model 3, twisty and an insane speed limit for the road (2 lane 65 MPH) and super twisty. I saw no less than 15 sports cars bombing along that piece of highway. IDK if that's anywhere near you tho, but I know you were in ID.

Martyr4JesusTheChrist a friend of mine has one. I drove the car for a good 30 miles. It’s cool. But it’s not visceral or passionate cool in any way. That’s why I’m ordering the C43 AMG this spring. It may not be faster than the Mod3 Performance, but its incredibly fast and has SO much soul. Comparing the interiors and quality makes you laugh hysterically. The Mod3 is like a Ford Escort with a iPad nailed to the dash.

Great review guys. You mention that you don't have auto pilot but all model 3's come with auto pilot it's full self driving that you have to pay extra for. So you are still able to let the car keep in lane and it's distance from cars in front as well as stop start in traffic. Also shame you didn't have the 5 percent increase in power they've just released.

@@MarioSantana1335 Maybe, maybe not. ICE technology is pushing forward too. Organic fuel sources capable of replacing oil are being developed. Toyota and Mazda are coming out with a gasoline engine that has a diesel hybrid design that gets 50+ MPG with very low emissions. Cutting out the extra cost of electric hybrids to reach that goal. Also affordable EVs are stupid fast but don't have the handling and other driving to dynamics to replace sports cars. I'd still rather just get the new Corvette for now.

A recent update actually added one pedal driving to Teslas. Meaning when you let off the accelerator and regen is no longer slowing the car down, the car engages the brakes to stop the car fully.

I learned enhanced summon can be more than a gimmicky party trick the other day. I had parked at a restaurant with a very icy lot the other day. It was a very slippery walk/shuffle from the car to get in. Coming out, it was really nice to reduce my opportunity to slip and fall by summoning the car to me.

This car is ~30k now and still has another 4 years on the battery/motor warranty. Total bargain for us used car enthusiasts 👍

My friend bought a Model 3, and loves it. I rode in it with him, and it's a great car. Don't know about that price, tho'.

I mean, the price is actually very very reasonable when you consider how much you'd spend on an ICE car to get a similar level of performance... but yeah totally, outside of the performance angle, it's definitely expensive still. However, I do think it's worth it, if you can afford it. Put it this way: for the price of it, I think I'd rather get the Model 3 Performance than any other car at the same price.
