For the past 25 years, i've owned / full-time driven different non high end cars, corolla, nissan pickup, civic, kia pride, chevy cruze, tucson, sta fe, rio, picanto, chevy spark, lancer, yaris, sentra, accent, mazda 6, changan cs35... my favorites are the mazda 6 and cs35. CS35 is nowhere near the bottom among these cars... it has been 3 yrs now, 120K mileage but not a single time of breakdown...solid car... it was hit several times by other cars while stationary on traffic signals, man this cs35 that others may call cheap car sustained only minor scratches while the culprits heavily damaged... last one to hit it was a brand new lancer which had its front bumper literally down the ground. This chinese car is better than MG which a friend bought same time i did cs35. i did not choose geely either because i liked the emblem of cs35 better than geely's and geely's car design before was not close to cs35's, but now this coolray has improved design and i think has adaptive cruise control, cs35 has cruise control but not adaptive. my cs35 was the top of the line, i was the 7th unit owner in uae, looks a lot even more premium than current cs35 plus, mine has 2 tone leather seats of white cream and black with red and white stitchings, with all the other advanced features, plus it has park assist sensors that manueovers the steering wheel by itself to fit safely in between tight parking spaces. And a bonus was that Ms. Julie Ann San Jose was my guest passenger in this cs35 from morning till midnight going around Dubai the day after her concert. She even stood up sticking her head out of the sun/moon roof while crusing the desert road.. great memories.. one thing though i do not like about cs35 is the dispute we have with china over islands in the west phil sea 😅

Wow! Changan CS35 as one of your favorite vehicles together with no other than a Mazda 6 :) Changan Phils. conducted this year an endurance test for the CS35 (100,000km+ mileage). Another wow! I'm very impressed with the reliability and durability of the vehicle as demonstrated in that test :)

I agree with you completely on your assessment of the cs35 plus. I test drove the cs35 when it first came out a few years ago, and was frankly underwhelmed, but could understand that it was a good fist effort. When I test drove the 2020 cs35 plus, I was blown away, and I knew that China could take over the automotive world in a few years. And the value equation is unbeatable.

The overall external look and appeal of this car made me and my wife decide to buy it. No regret because the driving experience is phenomenal - NVH, Speed and Power, Fuel efficiency. The Freeby dash cam from Changan Manila Bay is a plus to ne.

@@superflo807 More fuel efficient yes ofcourse on users feedback esp city driving. The HP and Torque speaks the differences in speed and power bec both are wet DCT.

The coolray premium is currently 1,088,000 pesos; but with 70k discount, it's 1,018,000 which makes it a better value than the changan cs35 plus. But TBH, I like this better for some reason...

So first time I drove CS35 plus in Nlex Sctex Tplex. Gas consumption was 20 km/liter and 14km/liter mixed traffic from Bacoor City to Tarlac.

I wonder how will this car CS35 plus stacks up against the Kia Seltos? They seem to be alike, a match and a direct competetor..Can you do a comparo between the two? Will we say by the end of the video "Kia must step up"?

Feature wise? CS35 plus is miles way ahead. Factor in the price point, it's mind blowing. I bought it a month ago, and it is really good - nvh, speed and power, and fuel efficiency. city driving is at 10-12 l/100km. on hi-way, it's 6-8 l /100km. Im expecting a btter mileage if it's a long drive.

Coolray is slightly better in handling and 2sec faster in acceleration. Also DCT transmission on Coolray is a bit more responsive. Keep in mind in a big picture, these are tiny differences. And of course top variant of Geely is 200k more expensive. If you're not in crazy zippy, sporty drive than CS35 is better(cheaper) choice. 5 year warranty is the same for both vehicles....

Obin.... just wait for few months to see the updated MG5, already released in China and coming to Thailand. You will be blown away by the looks of it, and the price of top variant (173ps,275nm,7speed wet dual clutch) in China is 15,000us.that is around 750k pesos. But expect Filipino government taxes on top of the taxes to take it up to 900k....if not more

wet DCT po si CS35 plus unlike Maxus D60. There are two types of DCT: wet and dry depending on the structure. Dry DCT is economical and efficient with a simpler structure and smaller size, yet wet DCT has superb cooling functions and high durability for higher torque engines.

The downward lang talaga sa mga chinese brand is mga dealer. Kokonte kahit gusto makita ng mga clients. Sana more open pa mga dealership. Halos kase occupied na mga toyota at ford ang mga main highways sa daan. Sana more investment pa. Kase dito samin walaman Changan branch. Or JMC and Maxus.

Hi Sir :) Since the distributor of Changan vehicles in our country (CMPI) is the same as that of Hyundai (HARI), I think the company will utilize Hyundai dealers (at least initially) in its dealership of Changan vehicles.
