We did a roadtrip in the US in 2015 and for some reason we really like the Tahoe. Ever since I saw the Suburban in Clear and Present Danger we liked the Chevy design. It just looks nice, but of course in the US, the Escalade is the luxury version. The guy at the rentar car desk told us "yeah I have an Escalade for you" and we were like "no we want the Tahoe please". He said "but you can have the Escalade for the same rate". And we insisted on the Tahoe. He gave us this look like "how strange Europeans are". Loved the car tough. It felt like driving a spaceship.

Doug! Thanks for the video. I know this is long after you made this video, but I just saw it. A lot of the features that you were sort of confused by (engine hours, “off” tachometer, etc) are things that really are excellent for Tahoe/Suburban drivers who are some of the highest mileage drivers on the road. Executive cars, police, secret service, fire/ems, and yes… or the Mr and/or Mrs’ who have the kids and their whole team in the car…. All of these require tons of time in the car, including tons of idle time! Anyway, I love your vids but I just wanted to remind you that these cars are for people some of the people who spend the most time in the car
