It really impressed us, both with its fantastic style and well-above average driving dynamics; but it wasn’t perfect, and Jag has been refining it ever since. My uncle had a 1963 (Series 1) Jaguar XKE 3.8L Roadster with a 4-speed manual transmission. British Racing green over tan. Nothing Jaguar has produced since could ever get my attention. Especially a crossover/SUV. I have a Jaguar/Land Rover (ugh) dealer near me and it is the one dealership where I never go to browse. Oh, and the Mini dealer, too.

Long rental car story but after a huge to do with a rental company in Ft Lauderdale they ended up giving me a fully loaded F Pace at the same price I paid for a Mazda. Well I was pleasantly surprised and overall impressed with this truck. Spent 10 days with it and did about 900 miles all over Florida. I can't say I would not drive one of these around if I needed a 5 passenger SUV.

Jaguar used to make distinctive cars, now they don't stand out from the crowd at all sadly.

If the next-gen F-Pace comes out in the next couple years, even if only as an EV, perhaps the compact luxury EUV market will have to watch out.

The turbo V6 is slower than the supercharged V6 because the turbo has lag to build up power while the supercharger is near-instantaneous.

Ive read a lot of comments just like yours. I’m wondering if you ever owned one and am speaking from experience or just repeating what other people who never owned one say. I bought a 21 F-Pace new and have put 42k on it with zero problems. I can’t say anything I don’t like about it.

If choose the Aviator over this. Offers more, better engine choices, luxury is on pad or better and design looks better also.

The 3.0 ecoboost is the only engine available for the 2021 dressed up Explorer I mean Aviator. Did Ford fix that plastic oil pan timebomb yet? How about the lack of port injection that the 2.7 and 3.5 both have yet the 3.0 is lacking? For the long haul I would run away from both the Jag and the Lincoln. Oh and the Jag looks better. 😉

Underpowered engine choices

I think 395 horsepower is more than enough for a crossover ... my grandmother has a Volvo XC60 T6 and that car (roughly 300 horsepower) is plenty quick.

My Jaguars have lasted fine. I loved my Jaguar so much that when I sold my Ferrari I bought another one. Nothing like a 500+ horsepower supercharged V8 with that unique combination of Jaguar style and swagger! 💪
