Great video as always. Always enjoy them but a few corrections: 1) 5:42 Auto mode - there is nothing adaptive about this mode. It's just Audi's weird choice of words for what others call "normal". 2) 10:30 Audi quotes 0-60 of 3.8 seconds for this model 3) 13:43 Dynamic steering is a standalone option. It does not come with the Dynamic Package, which imo is an absolute must for this car as it softens the ride in comfort/auto and makes a huge difference in the sport for canyon/track driving.

Great review. I think it really comes down to use-case. If you're tracking regularly, the M3 would make more sense. However for day to day or long distance commutes, the RS5 strikes a very good compromise. I suspect most M3 owners don't push their vehicles to the point where the handling dynamics are that much better or more noticeable.

Nice Review. I picked up one of these a month ago. I agree, the sound is the limiting factor. Audi does not pump in the same level of fake audio into the cabin like BMW does. Which I appreciate. My solution was to get a resonator enhancer kit from Audi. It makes the car sound amazing now.

the BMW is probably the best in the segment I would personally get the csl grill which makes the car look even more aggressive and just better looking overall. Then I would get a opf delete and downpipes to make the car sound amazing and it will transform the car even more but, other than that its perfect the way it is perfect the way it is. If i was you get the m3 comp x drive because there is so many things you can do to it and you can even switch it to rwd to make you have more fun.

It’ll be interesting to see how they update the interior for the next gen, I’m hoping that the exterior will look just as good as it does now. If I had the money for this or an S5 I’d probably stick with the S5, seems like it would be a bit more comfortable to live with and the 3L V6 honestly sounds better than this one.

When I called Audi and another mechanic they said it would be about $8500 to replace them. That freaked me out and I backed out of the deal. At least for now. I might change my mind and go back to it, but I dunno, those maintenance costs are a little crazy. Might just get an S5 instead

Having a hard time deciding on getting a used RS5 or save about 10 grand and get a brand new m340i fully loaded exactly how I want it. I know the RS is a bit quicker but I’m not that hung up on straight line speed and I don’t plan to go to the track or do much twisty road driving. And that B58 can make a ton of power with minimal mods if I ever do want to go fast but the RS5 can dip into the 2’s 0-60 with just an E85 tune. I’m trying to suppress the “which one is faster” factor and focus on which one is a better place to be on Highway drives and traffic/city commutes which is where I do 98% of my driving.

The backseat looks super uncomfortable for a tall person. How tall are you, Miles? Also, by the way, you mentioned in that it could become taxing for an everyday drive - so I do have a question that comes into mind. It comes down to driving exhaustion. How would you say you felt after driving around with this? would you think it's exhausting for a long drive, or is it something for short bursts and occasions?

Very nice video. I have the 2022 Carbon Black model (in the UK). Coming from a RS6 I was contemplating the dynamic suspension. In the end I said no. My RS6 (2013 model which I had until 2022 having done 139,000 miles !!) was great and had this suspension set up. The V8 engine was still mint after all these miles, but the suspension failed big time. So going for something fixed was my choice. Overall would have like the variation and the fixed set up is a little on the hard side, but overall the RS5 rocks !

They’re not the worst but far from the most reliable, probably only slightly better than the other Germans. If you keep up with routine maintenance it helps, but be definitely be prepared to budget for that, even some of the regular milestone maintenance jobs can get pricey. Lower trim models aren’t so bad especially if you get one of the 2.0T models since that engine is in so many models across VW/Audi.
