This is the new Audi RS5!
Now, when you come to think of any Audi RS, you’re going to think of a powerful, aggressive car, right? Well, while the Audi RS5 may have the aggressive looks, it’s actually rather tame compared to competitors like the BMW M4 or AMG C63 Coupe.
For starters, here’s what you’ll want to know about when it comes to an Audi RS - the engine! Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 2.9-litre V6 which can put out 450hp & 600Nm of torque with the ability to apparently hit 60mph in just 3.9 seconds!
So it’s certainly not low on power, but when you consider it’ll cost you at least £70,000, is it really worth it? Especially when you need to pay extra to get essentials (at least, essentials to us!) like a sports exhaust.

the 155mph speed limit applies to almost all BMWs, Mercs, and Audis. A spitting image of my older, 08', 6-speed S5. Although I think RS5s look much better in darker tone colors. I saw a dark blue one on the road and it looked amazing. Mine is a lighter blue, Sprint Blue to be specific and it matches the vibe and age of the car. Planning to keep her forever if i can.

I'm surprised Audi didn't put more power into the current 450HP engine inside RS5/RS4 models. Especially since their competition raised the bar significantly. New M4 has around 500 HP while the M4 Competition gives you even more than that. We've seen the Carwow drag race between the M4 competition, RS5 and Merc C63 AMG. BMW was clobbering them left and right. RS5 has to be 520-540 HP machine in 2021. The market demands it.. Oh, I almost forgot about the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV that came out 4 years ago with a beautiful Ferrari tuned 2.9. V6 engine with 510 HP. And that was almost 5 years ago. Now there's a GTA model coming out with 600 HP. That beast will eat the Germans for breakfast. I can't wait to see some comparison tests.

The old v8 had no torque and was way heavier than this v6 so if they kept it the car wouldent handle well at all just like the old rs5.

@@KK001 I have the old V8 RS5, it actually handles really well. Of course, every year/generation they have to improve something like weight, steering and etc. You can't be building something new that is the same or worse than the previous generation... All in all, that old heavy V8 handles really well. Also, you loose that screaming and high revving V8. Which is intoxicating every time you drive :P

Acciel Villiers likewise, and the shape of the old v8 is far better. I have a 2015 suzuka grey. Wouldnt change it for this one! Speed isnt everything as it is largely unusable ona public road. We are lucky enough to have an R8. Whilst an event to take out, you cant really use it without being in licence loosing territory

@@KK001 The V8 RS5 is not a lightweight sports car. So no matter what weight savings you are trying to gain with the V6 are nonsensical. The RS5 is not a Lotus with a V6 engine it is a super coupe which makes it firmly a GT car. The V8 in the RS5 sounded and felt wonderful to drive and I will never get a V6 RS5.
