Best thing about this 10th Gen is that Honda doesn’t have much work to do on the 11th Gen because the bar on this is set so high. Best car that I’ve owned!

My main request is that the trunk becomes a 5th door so it's a true "euro style" sedan with all of the added utility that comes with that feature. I am pretty sure Honda originally planned for this but cut it due to production complexity/per unit costs. Also would love for this to get a limited slip differential and of course a mandatory slight power bump which would only be natural for a new gen.

As an owner of this exact model accord it is just the perfect daily driver that I can also really push when wanted for fun and quick passing on the highway as well as enjoyable backroad and some minor drag races against friends. If you drive like I do too you hit almost 38 MPG and that is also just icing on the cake.

@@DumSpiroSpero864 Not sure where you are seeing that. The hybrid gets 40+mpg easily in my real world usage. Also note that hybrid designs benefit the most from city driving. The difference compared to non hybrid will be smaller on the highway.

2022 sport owner - I've seen as high as 42.7 according to the dash readout at a steady 70 mph. I've also seen low twenties when I filled up with supposedly 15% ethanol. Driving in normal or sport mode doesn't seem to effect mileage although the engine runs in a higher gear in sport mode.

I have a '20 Accord Touring 2.0T that I absolutely love. This car is amazing for the price point. My wish list for the '23 total remake is short. 1. Better sound system 2. Larger fuel tank. 14.8 gallons is too small for this size car. 3. A little bit better sound dampening. Not that my car is loud but it could be a bit quieter. 4. Even more power. I never feel like my car is underpowered, however, I still want more. The Accords with the 2.0T engines are so much fun to drive. Honestly, I look forward to driving mine every single day.

I'm fairly convinced the reason a lot of these smaller turbo engines short shift even in manual/sport mode is to keep you better in the effective rev range. This car has peak HP at 6500 RPM so it makes no sense to rev higher than that. It also makes peak torque at 1500 RPM so short shifting a little bit gives you more power early in the next gear.

Really good review. I had this exact car, but a ‘21. It was supposed to be the perfect replacement my for my Dodge Charger R/T, but unfortunately I only owned it for 4 months. This is one of those cars that both on paper and for short term seems like a perfect sports sedan, but mine had quite a few issues that I couldn’t live with. It was so disappointing because I absolutely loved the 2.0T engine, but the 10spd transmission was a major letdown. Mine was jerky, searched for gears and was so slow to respond. I also had a multitude of electronic gremlins. And those seats. Ugh. The most uncomfortable seats I’ve ever experienced. They had such little support/padding for me (220lbs) it felt like I was sitting on concrete. As a former owner of 6 different Honda products in the past, to say I was let down is a major understatement. Your assessment of it really being a mainstream sedan vs a real sports sedan is 100% accurate. I sold it and bought an Elantra N and couldn’t be happier.

This is the exact model and trim that I have. It's really nice ...... but it comes with a really nice price tag too (if you know what I mean). EDIT: wanted to add with eco mode and not speeding you can get like 38mpg on HWY. That's like 60-65. But @ 75-80 eco you're looking sub 30 mpg. I dont have city mpg for you. The anti collision feature I found to be dangerous at least for my style driving. This is the rear end anti collision. Reason being when you need to stop short there's a chance there's a guy behind you who needs to stop too and you need control of that brake (to let go of it to make room behind you). When the car takes over it's not looking behind you only in front and it almost cause a vehicle to hit my back side once....... I had no control and since I've never used it again. Maybe not a knock on Honda but a knock on the feature no matter the make

The lovely part about the 2.0 is that it’s just a detuned type r engine. Get a good tuner and a maybe different bolt ons and you’ll have a very quick efficient car that anyone can drive unlike the Manuel type r.

This car is beautiful, as I'm in the market for something like this however the million dollar question is does it have the blind spot warning light sensors? more than anything this is helpful on my case. I didn't quite see it well on the video if it light up or not, or if they have it at all. and which models does have it?

@Desmo The 10th gen accord debuted in 2018, and had a mid cycle refresh in 2021. There are never any big changes within the same generation. That's standard for all manufacturers. The bigger changes will come when they release the 11th gen which will reportedly be for the 2023 model year.

2018-2020 Sport 2.0T's are the same. Starting with 2021 Sports however, they got a small facelift with different fog light and grille design, the mirror caps, shark fin antenna, and lip spoiler are black (like the one in the video). Sonic Grey Pearl as shown also was offered starting 2021. Manual transmission was also discontinued after 2020. Other than that, and the Sport Special Edition being offered in 2021+ (which only comes with the 1.5T engine) are really the only differences. Source: I own a 2018 Sport 2.0T and work at a Honda dealership.

I own a 2019 Accord 2.0T in the EX-L trim. In my experience the car doesn't feel that great when you push it super hard. Transmission is a bit laggy and tires will squeal. It really excels though when you find that perfect balance. There's a certain way you have to kinda roll onto the throttle and steer it for those really good acceleration and handling traits to shine through. The 2.0T has a certain sweet spot in the range. I also think the steering is remarkably smooth and precise. I found that it can really dance on a backroad, in many ways feels better than my previous Infiniti G sedan.
