I ordered a Colorado Trail Boss. First time I'll own a Chevy truck. I've had Rangers, F150's and F250's prior to this. I did a LOT of research and this truck is exactly what I am looking for. I hate all the electronic gadgets and even though this has more than I would like, its still fairly basic. Looks like my truck should be here in 3 weeks. It was built last week and now we're waiting on the shipping.

how are you liking your Trail Boss? I am looking at getting one too because I am a GM guy that wants to do a little off roading so this ($42K for my specs) 4x4 Trail Boss looks great. I test drove an AT4 and a Trail Boss and I love the looks and feel of the Chevy grill, outside lines, and cheaper price tag of the Chevy Colorado Trail Boss.

It's meant to be a "trail" offroad trim, and headlights are often damaged or broken on the trails. It's much cheaper to replace these than LED headlights. I think it should be an option, which it unfortunately isn't, but it makes sense to have these as the base headlights.

@@gordmonteath6090 The ZR2 is not really meant to be a trail truck primarily. It is certainly good at it, but it's not the primary off-road purpose. The DSSV dampers are clear evidence of that, and the desert boss package is even further evidence.

@The Hemwick Hag I'm not saying it makes the most sense. Even what you said doesn't make a ton of sense. Creating a whole new trim level with all of the time cost and infrastructure cost that goes into it just to bet against it makes no business sense when you could just incentivize another trim level and not waste money on the trim you are hoping won't sell. There are many things behind the scenes that likely went into this, some of it which makes sense and some of it which doesn't.

It actually has a g80 locker that engages automatically when it senses the other tire spinning it locks up. Limited slip would just keep slipping. So it's much better.

I own thw colorado trail boss. Its been amazing in the snow, the mountains and more. I test drop the competition before settling on chevy and so glad i did. Its been a great truck

This is a pretty badass truck not gonna lie, i would take this over tacomas or frontiers, one of my friends has the tacoma trd Pro, and even that one being the best one i still feel like this trail boss colorado could give it a run for its money. Im looking into getting a sierra at4x, could you do a review on that model sometime in the future?

I used to work for FordMoCo so I was waiting on the Ranger, but I am very impressed with the Colorado Trail Boss. And I really like that you can achieve the HP and Torque numbers of the HO with options available on the Turbo Plus.

How good/bad is the stock audio system? On my 2019 GMC Canyon, it was as bad as an alarm clock radio. I now have a 2022 Nissan Frontier, which is decently ok-ish.

The only thing that worrys me abt the colorado is its an i4 turbo. usually turbocharged engines dont last as long compared to n.a. engines. Yeah the colorado has some diesel things in it but who knows. me personally im gon wait a couple years to see if its worth it but till then i'd still with the last gen colorado or the nissan tbh.

This same engine has been in the Silverado for 2 years. A lower power version has been in the Silverado for an additional 3 years prior to that. It has proven to be quite reliable and up to truck duty.
