You should take it real easy on new tires for a 100 miles brother!
@TheTyrone1981
@TheTyrone1981 Ай бұрын
nah. I have a 2017. My routine for brand new tires is the bike goes from my garage with new tires to my favorite twisty road about 15 minutes from my house. Blast through the twisties at an easier pace for one pass. Easier meaning keeping it around 90ish mph through the curves and not leaning as much. Second pass a little more aggressive. Third and final pass aggressive holding 100 plus through the curves and leaning close to if not the edge of the tire. Tires broken in. Do it every time. Each time I’m only doing a 10 mile stretch of that road. So within 30 miles the tires are perfectly fine

It's insane how much the US is behind on Honda models. That's a 2019 model, not 2023.

Wish I could get another bike is not that I’m bored of my bike I love mine, just insurance cost are astronomical I’m not a super old guy but not young either. Guess Ill keep my I can’t justify a 300 dollar payment on insurance. But love all your content I learned a lot you give a lot of useful tool but what to expect of a Drill instructor background. Thanks for your service veteran I’m a veteran also.

Buying with cash will give you option to limit insurance and even take it off when not in use

@ sound good will take into consideration like now is been park on the garage since March is 2022 and isn’t even close to 2k miles. But also when you have family the time to ride is a little bit more complicated 🤣. But will check into that option definitely.

@ no man every quote I get for other motorcycles run that number or close to it zx6r, speed triple r everything I like that is close to the 1000 cc or in that range even got quoted on a mt09 sp like 287 if memory serves me correctly. I have a 660 trident and pay 32 dollars a month I didn’t think that one motorcycle is expediently higher price than my 3 cars. I am also close to 40 years old have one "sport car" under the insurance.

I must be an outlier. I'm 2 1/2 inches taller than you, but I have long, lanky limbs, so I have a 34 inch inseam and long arms. I ride sport bikes specifically for comfort. I like having my legs bent, but also working them a bit when you are gripping the tank with your legs, so my muscles get both worked and stretched. My back loves it too. I need lumbar support sitting normally. On a cruiser, my back would be sore. On a sport bike, my back is arched a lot of the time because I'm leaning forward, so there's so need for lumbar support. If there's no traffic and I'm at a light or a slow speed zone, I'll stretch and arch my back in the opposite way for a bit. I can ride all day with minimal fatigue, which seems to be the opposite of most people. My first bike was a 2016 Suzuki GSX R1000 (blue with the red slash underneath) and in a few months, I'm getting the new GSX R1000RZ. While I love speed, and hitting the twisties, at night, I will happily cruise casually around town all night, because I'm so comfortable. I avoid leaving town at night as much as possible because there's so many whitetail deer and other critters here in Wisconsin.

If the bike you ride next is comparable to Hayabusa, but not a Hayabusa and not a ZX-14 which I believe you already ridden, so it may be either BMW K1300S (which I owned and highly recommend) or a Honda VFR1200

Thought it did have a quickshifter cause that thing by the shifter
@krp-xe3hw
@krp-xe3hw Ай бұрын
My africa twin is the same way but its not a quickshifter. The shifter is not mounted directly to the gear selector input shaft. The shifter is actually mounted to the frame using a bolt. The linkage you see, resembling the quickshifter load cell, connects the freely rotating shifter to the gear selector input shaft that's much higher up on the engine case than the usual position on most bikes. Idk why honda does it this way.
