The non turbo diesel engine in the 79 series land cruiser is a 4.2L in line 6 naturally aspirated engine called the 1HZ. A very legendary engine. It's the commonest engine in the entire 70 series range (76,78,79) ,cause it's more economical than the V8 diesel (1VD-FTV).
