Can't remember another draft class like this? Really? To me, this is the splitting image of the 2002 NBA draft: Yao Ming as the generational prospect, the foreign born center and lock at #1 overall. Then the generational guard prospect in Jayson Williams and the top-tier wing prospect in Mike Dunleavy Jr., filling in for Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller. Some intriguing names down the list (nene and Amare Stoudamire), but basically, a one player top tier, followed by a star 6'2 inch PG, and a dynamic 6'10 wing prospect.

Amen Thompson is 2 inches taller than Green with a 7 foot wingspan and great court awareness, he’s the perfect compliment to Green. Also the Green hate is unreal considering the guy is barely 21 years old and already scoring 20 ppg. At worst he’s going to be a Bradley Beal level guy.

There’s gonna be some serious domino effects in this one. A couple of “wow” moves and a couple of heartbreaks. 1) I see Orlando doing something really smart with one of their picks. 2) Indiana using their picks to move around the draft board. 3) A Minnesota move that either fixes or compounds their previous mistakes. 4) Spurs trading up for either Coulibaly or a mid-lottery PG pick, depending on who is available.

This draft is honestly INSANE!! So many potential generational talents. A lot deeper than people think too As LeBron put it, Wemby's an alien and hopefully he lives up to that, which I truly think he does. Scoot will probably be a perennial All Star and could honestly be arguably the best player out of this draft down the stretch, years from now.. who knows Hopefully Brandon Miller can stay out of trouble and have a heck of a career. The Thompson Bro's look like the real deal. Wallace and Whitmore will be better than people think, just behind phenomenal talent. I do agree how after around the 5th-7th pick is going to be all over the place lol. Grady Dick and Jalen Wilson from Kansas look NBA ready. Lots of Sleepers too, like Maxwell Lewis(Pepperdine), Bilal Coulibaly(France), Omari Moore, SJST (MWC PoY) Isaiah Wong, Miami(ACC PoY) and Jalen Slawson(Furman) A heavy amount of seniors and guys ready to contribute for contenders, like Jaquez from UCLA. Lots of possible late 2nd round older big men like Kalkbrenner, Zach Eddy, Oscar Tshiebwe and Drew Timme, who might not ever get drafted. Lots of international dudes as well, especially France lol. Can't friggin' wait!! Great Content as always 👍

Scoot Henderson is the one guy out of the guys locked in for the top three that i am most comfortable drafting and expecting him to be a perennial all-star. The only complaint people have about him is his 3 point shooting. I call bullshit. For one thing he has always been a solid free throw shooter which is a better indication of shooting ability than 3 point percentage when talking about nba prospects. And second his 3 point percentage was bad but didnt indicate a straight up inability to shoot like Ben Simmons. He had a 33% 3 point percentage throughout the full course of his season this year

The defense is what makes Scoot the safest bet, because the worst you get is a healthy LaLonzo Ball, and a Klay-type (with handles) on the top end of the spectrum. Scoot is a 76% FT shooter in the g-league, that’s Ok, not solid. What he really needs to show is growth with his efficiency & turnovers on O; because he already has the inherent defensive instincts & aggressiveness needed for the NBA. Scoot will always have an upside because of the effort on defense and the raw talent on O. *Wemby* is the biggest bet since Zion for a body & game that translates to the NBA. A *very consistent* 27% 3pt shooting on 5/game. A real fear to mix it up inside with heavier bigs, and being way more effective as a help side defender (like Zion) than on-ball in the low/mid post. Wemby’s highlights look amazing and look like a raw generational talent. But, his defensive lowlights against fast and/or physical wings & bigs, shows he’ll be constantly hunted in the Pick&Roll on a nightly basis. That means taking the same wear & tear as Gobert on defense, while everyone expects him to instantly be Wilt/Russell/KD/LeBron on offense. Dude has a good shot with Pop in his corner, but if he doesn’t perform on opening night. The “bust” talk is going to come out real quick, and in such frequency he can’t ignore.

@tcr7

I agree. I think Miller will end up as a bust. Not that he'll be bad, but he'll end up as a guy that should have been drafted late 1st. He just feels like a guy who has been coasting on raw talent so when he hits the stage where he suddenly has to work hard to succeed, he won't do it. And even worse - Charlotte is where so many of those players go and fail. Monk, for example, admitted that he didn't try. Caleb Martin said he also would have cut himself. So many players that do well outside Charlotte but fail to perform in Charlotte because they don't have the drive. Scoot has that drive and I feel like he'll instill it in others. If for no other reason, that's why Scoot will be an all-star and Brandon Miller will be a "bust".

Im just scared that Victor Weby will be a bust, he has so much hype, but him having this much hype shows that he must win roty to keep the hype up, also Spurs thinking how he will be in the next 4-5 years and he's either your star player, or he's fluffed and maybe would be a better role player which would be hard to imagine, Same thing with scoot, he's a much safer pick though, he's more of a guaranteed good role player than a star in my opinion though, also with san antonio's current roster, victor would be without any good role players, so I would try to trade for some good role players that can help victor really show his true potential, if the Victor project works, all they need to do is get him a good point guard, you get victor a good point guard and he's turning into the next jokic possibly. so much hype this draft that its gonna be such a let down if a lot of players kind of develop into basic role players/busts.

I mean majority of scouts are favouring miller as the better prospect, then factor in fit it’s pretty obvious charlotte are drafting him. The rumour came out right after the lottery that he was their preferred option, which is an obvious choice if they intend on keeping lamelo. Any rumours now are most likely to gain trade leverage. Portland are most likely going to trade #3 and there’s been a few teams showing desperation to draft scoot. Looks like charlotte are in on those rumours to maybe get something on top of dropping back to #3 and getting the guy they want anyway.

I say that report is accurate and he has a very good record of being correct. Besides, Dame is going to be paid $60 million this year. Who is going to pay that? Sorry, but that's just too high for Grady Dick. Review the many other players in the NCAA Div I and II. There are a many players that meet those numbers but have not had TV exposure. For instance, Jordan Walker (UAB) is shooting a red hot 42% from 3 and 25 pts a game, with 5 assist per game. So you see, there are players out there that can do a better job. #6? NOOOOOO. I don't think so.

All I am saying is Victor’s game is not going to quickly translate in the NBA he is overhype tbh but at the same time if Spurs develop him I can see him being a Giannis / KD hybrid kind of player but that’s a big if. What are you talking about? Your just trying to be contrarian. From a skill standpoint, Wemby is easily one of the most talented prospects off all time with his size, and hes not a stiff atheltically. The biggest question is his health and durability. 7'3 guy who has better handles then most forwards, and has shown he can has a shot with legit 3pt range, and he has the tools to be a demon on defense, sure nothing is guranteed pretty much the only way wemby isn't a muliple time all star and all nba level guy is if his body fails him.

He's 7'3 with a gigantic wingspan, he has good handles and shooting for his size and competes with people much older than him in a french league. The Harden to Houston narrative continues to persist. I have yet to see anyone make a case that it makes any sense for Houston. The fact that Harden needs the ball to be effective is in direct conflict with the development of Jalen Green who is also ball dominant. What is the rationale for adding Harden to a young roster in development? Does Houston really want their young guys learning from one of the absolute worst role models in the whole league? Will they try and somehow make a case that adding Harden gives them a chance to win now after abysmal playoff performances playing next to Joel Embiid? I have no idea what the upside to this move would be. I can't even see a hypothetical where it makes sense. Can someone please tell me why Houston would want to bring in a declining, pudgy, no defense playing ball hog!

From there, the Pistons are going to take Whitmore because that's their biggest position of need and he's a very balanced player that will fit really well on their team. The Magic at 6 are going to take either Cason Wallace or Jalen Hood-Schifino. Pacers are going to take Jarace Walker. The Wizards are going to take the other of JHS or Wallace. The Jazz are going to take Ausar. The Mavs are going to take Hendricks. Magic will take Gradey Dick. After that? No idea. There's really not a big talent gap between players from picks 6 through, like, 16 or something.
