A #PorscheMacan has been the least expensive way to get into the Porsche family new since 2015 and since then, Porsche has given the #Macan some updates over the years. For 2022, the #MacanGTS is now the most powerful version yet and it got a final round of updates before a new generation is due in 2024. #Porsche has given all the trims more power and for 2023, the #MacanT is the newest additional to the family, taking the sport options we like on the higher trims and applying it to the base engine. It still drives like a #PorscheCayman sports car, just a little taller.

@@johngalt5411 the allocations are tight for sure because of the shortage and the boat burning. Some dealers have ADM and some don’t. BUT there’s a big waitlist for no mark-up so get on it asap! Taycan and 911’s custom ordering is a 2 year wait.

Porsche is inconsistent, which I find very confusing when shopping their various models. Some GTS trims include Chrono, some do not. Some give you access to Sport+ through the menus w/o Chrono some do not, bizarre.

I had a 2016 Macan S and enjoyed driving it. The things I noticed about it was it did have some turbo lag until it hit above 2,000 rpms. I ended up selling it and now have a 2018 BMW x3 m40i, which is faster but doesn't have the same cornering and poise the Macan had as far as driving dynamics. Porsche's definitely seem to be head turners versus BMW but that's not what I bought either for. I wanted more power and the M40i seems faster than the 2018 Porsche GTS and as fast as the turbo for that year, but for much less money.

Love it. I would get this Macan if I wasn't getting a Rivian. Love the looks and the performance - hate the MPG. I sometimes drive aggressively, I would be filling this up at least twice a week. I sure I would get about 14 MPG on a good week; but I would be having fun - so It's all good.

What shocks me is that fords 3.5 twin turbo ecoboost gets one mpg better yet has a lot more torque, it does make a little less horsepower but also weighs quite a bit more and isn’t as aerodynamic. The way I feel is that when you pay the hefty porche price this engine should have gotten a couple mpg better than a heavier truck is all

As someone who owns a 2022 cayman gts 4.0 and a 2023 macan gts… so far you have said the macan looks like a cayman… ummm not even CLOSE… then you said it’s drives like a cayman… like… W. T. F. are you talking about? I mean the macan gts handles very well, but a similarly equipped cayman handles so much better. You should stick to things you understand. Decent review fwiw. Also the manual mode moved from the shifter to the left hand side of the steering wheel.

@@0Turbox Porsche always undersells their time and they also give that number without the Sport Chrono package. It is 3.5 on a GTS with sport chrono. And wasn’t trying to be a jerk. Was just really wondering if anyone else would need anymore power. This is super car speed in a large body. Anymore power would probably be overkill and not really usable. But I get your point/question on a naturally aspirated engine. The only Performance SUV that I can think of it has a naturally aspirated engine is the jaguar F pace SVR. It’s a big and beautiful V8, but still slower than a GTS.

My fav compact SUV but it’s too small for my 6’-3” frame. The cargo area is paltry and sloping roof makes it worse. Porsche should make this car slightly bigger inside nd reduce the rear roof rake a bit. They must reduce curb weight too. Can’t wait to see the new one 👍

I can't afford a Macan (or a Tesla for that matter), but if I could, I'd take Porsche's build quality over Tesla's any day of the week and twice on Sunday. I'd also be willing to bet that this drives way better than any Tesla. There's more to driving than just insane 0-60 times. Ride quality matters.

I can’t afford either but I would never recommend a Tesla who wants a boring car Tesla’s are only cool for their straight like acceleration and all the tech which is gimmicky. They’re also Lowkey the best electric car manufacturer however the competition is catching up. Every Tesla looks the same no options besides autopilot and one wheel option. 5 colors 2 interior colors so boring and common. Porsches are unique because they have so many different configuration options and so many different colors and materials on the exterior and interior. Porsche will hold its value more long term probably be more reliable, and you’ll enjoy it more than a Tesla each time you drive it. You don’t even look cool driving a Tesla you look like a nerd. Driving a Porsche you look sexy in a way. Besides the Tesla has horrible build quality while Porsche has excellent quality. It’s night and day Porsche is superior
