The 2023 Gameplan of the Year Award goes to illegally kneeing your downed opponent so hard that when asked where they are they answer "the desert" in their non-native language and then getting DQ'd & having the fight rescheduled 3 weeks later so you get 2x show money & 1x win money. Those Russians are crafty...

Whats the difference between a front kick (or a snap front kick) and a teep?
@bostoncrab4pple7 ай бұрын
I could be wrong and hopefully someone can correct me, but I think the teep is bringing up the leg and then pushing in with the toes/hip to dig at the opponent and potentially unbalance them from range, whereas a front snap kick is bringing up the knee (towards the outside?) and then snapping the foot out from the knee to do damage and potentially sneak inside defences
@hexstaticloonatic41947 ай бұрын
I think the teep is meant to push the opponent away, so a much more "laboured/slow" kind of movement. Front kick is an actual kick sent with snap, meant not to push but actually hit/strike. Think the movement is the same, it's the application/speed/snappiness of the movement that is different. Also teeos are generally aimed at the body as they are meant to push, while a front kick has valid targets both on the body and face as it is meant to actually hit with impact so to speak. But I could be wrong, don't take my word for it.
@stillmyboy67087 ай бұрын
Yeahh think of Jonathan Haggerty for a teep, whereas front kick is more O’mally and even what Strickland was doing to Adesanya when he had him against the fence. Teep is like ‘fuck off get away’, meanwhile front kick is ‘I’m gonna jab my toes into your belly until you cry or are exhausted’
@hexstaticloonatic41947 ай бұрын
@@stillmyboy6708would Strickland's vs Adesanya be considered a snap kick more than a teep? Felt like a range finder or distance manager more than something meant to hurt. Not very "snappy" either. Asking as a relative amateur to understand better, cos in my head I thought of Strickland's in that match as teeps, even though they didn't have the full "muay thai level of pushing" in them
@jonjack58197 ай бұрын
@@stillmyboy6708 okay yeah thinking of how o'malley uses a front kick compared to haggerty or alot of muay thai fighters use a teep makes sense
