As a Durango owner this really catches my attention. I'm impressed with this styling and that is very rare for me to say these days. I find the Tahoe to be a little too big and lumbering but this has a much more sporty, athletic appearance. Really beautiful SUV.

My understanding is that the Durango is being redone for '24 or '25 so it'll be interesting to see what Dodge/Jeep does with that. They did well with the Grand Cherokee L and Wagoneer.

Chevy hit a home run. I always liked the Chevy traverse but the interior was always looked outdated but now wow. This is definitely a minivan replacement.

I really dig the new design inside and out. The whole dash looks to be among the best in class. The size and cargo being similar to the current model is a plus. I'm happy to see more power and torque with the updated engine, it will be interesting to see how the 8 speed performs vs the current 9 speed - as long as performance and efficiency are similar or better, I'll be happy.

Seriously, they have addressed every single issue I had with the previous generation. I will miss the sound of the V6 but this motor should be even more refined and it’s more powerful. It may even boast an improvement in fuel efficiency over the 3.6L. They’ve even updated the switchgear to the high quality feeling stalks in the Silverado EV and new Cadillacs. Bravo, *gm!* 🔥

I own a 2021 Traverse 3lt leather w/ premium package and I appreciate the classic Chevy styling.....I prefer understated luxury. I do really like the truck like appearance of this new design and the screen and instrument cluster are amazing! The one drawback for me is the red strip of dash.....every review video I've seen shows this same interior.....If there's no options for a different color dash, that would be a deal breaker for me personally.

@@pt192 a V6 isn’t needed in this size of vehicle. Modern V6 engines are now the base engines in half-ton pickup trucks. They can be found in full-size and large SUVs as well. They make more power than they did 20 years ago. Same goes for modern 4-cylinder engines.

I like it. Now, people are going to joke about the Z71 package. It's too early to tell on its capability. I want it so it can handle the bad roads, potholes, and curbs. 20 plus inch wheels look cool, but they'll tear up too easily. I hope there’s an option to get all the power features and the Bose. If so, I'm sold.

You're right, the 20" black wheels I have and see on a lot of vehicles get scratched up to easily. The low-profile tires with very little sidewall to protect them is the problem. I'll never buy a vehicle with them again. They look great at first, terrible functionality.

Awesome effort by Chevrolet! I really like this new Traverse, I believe it will be a sales success. The C pillar though, thats the one area they could have done better, its too thick there and cuts into the outward view of the third row passengers. Other than that I am impressed.

I have a Toyota and don’t think for a minute they are much better these days. At 75k miles she has her share of finicks mostly with the electronics and this is the supposed unrelenting leader of reliability. She lasted this long and have yet to have mechanical problems but this whole idea that they are perfectly working vehicles is a false fantasy. That being said, I’d recommend my Rav4 to others, if nothing because its an easy to live with and maintain car, and I have her now as my workhorse (with my Cadillac XT5 as my weekend vehicle) but its bland soul-less, taxicab personality isn’t worth the reliability I have experienced with it for my taste and would prefer something with a better balance of appeal over it.

The late 1940's were probably the last time GM ever made cars that really outlived their time. I've seen probably at least 6 or 7 Chevys of that vintage not being on their last legs.

Toyotas aren’t perfect, that’s why when I am considering a vehicle I look at consumer reports and also stop by the dealership early to look at cars on the way in to work, about 6:30-7 am. Sounds weird but walking in to a service department and asking the people waiting “So, what are you in for” gives you so much info! I was considering a Ford Mustang about 7 years back, stopped in and one guy said he loved the car, had it 9 months and only had a few things need work. I asked like what… motor mounts, 2 alternators, a strut, 2 window motors, gas pump, etc, he named off about 7 things that went wrong in 9 months ownership. But YES! He absolutely loved it and would recommend purchasing one. 🤣 I said no.

Oddly, most people think replacing a major engine or other component every few months is normal and expected.

We've been shopping these lately, along w/the Cadillac XT6's... just wish they'd offer the Z71 or RS w/an optional LS1 or LS6 engine. Probably better fuel economy than the Turbo 4 and can run just as well on 87 Octane fuel. Plus how long w/these high-boost 4 cylinder's last past the manufacturer's warranty? It is a great looking SUV!

Mercedes made a 375 HP 2.0 4 cylinder back in 2013 and there haven't been any issues in the 11 years since with them blowing up. Now granted that's mercedes, but the turbo tech is there for longevity. I think the electronics having issues in modern cars is much more likely than the engine itself having issues. Speaking from experience as well having owned a few turbo 4 cylinder cars, it's always electrical system issues while the engines are strong.

Seriously looking at a 2024 Kia Sorento but I would take a Chevy any day over a Kia powertrain but not with 22-in rims. RS will be the perfect model without 22-in rims. 18 inch black rims would be the ticket for me. Smoother ride less prone to get damaged. Been there have 22 inches and they are a nightmare for everyday driving

We'll see how the performance numbers look for the 4 banger. But this is a nice effort by GM. C pillar is bold and will take so getting used to. Looking forward to the Acadia. And I'm looking forward to GM actually building enough of all their SUVs so that we can get a competitive price again. Enough of the inventory control.

I do a lot of mild off roading, so I need something that has some off roading ability. I have a wife and three teenage kids, and we have outgrown our Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. With the third row of seating in this vehicle, they could take a couple of friends. I am probably going to buy a Traverse Z-71. Also, the rear window arrangement is just dumb. Whoever insisted on including that design element was probably the lead designer on the Aztec.
