THIS video sets the new gold standard for Traverse reviews! All models, all nuances, so much easier to understand and see than the Chevy brand pages. Most important to me and my family, he demonstrated at 6’5”, sitting in each position, a first for all the YT videos and the key ingredient I was missing since the New York Auto Show had these behind the ropes. I’m going to wait until next year to pull the trigger, but this is now top of my list to replace my 2012 Suburban. Nicely done!

I’d take the Z71 hands down. In my opinion it’s the best looking of all the trims. Dave I’d love to see a video on the benefits of leasing a vehicle over financing if one of your co-workers in the finance department has time to sit down with you and discuss it.

328hp is actually crazy for the 4cyl so i think that would be enough. aslo im thinking the smaller engine with a turbo is future proofing it for dumb emission laws in the future. just my opinion. i like the turboed 4cyl

Forgot to mention on the LT it’s optional trailering package which adds enhanced cooling that alone is basically worth the upgrade from the LS

I hate that they got rid of the premier/high country. I like a good luxury trim, especially with a lighter color or brown interior colors. They probably believe buyers would go to the GMC Acadia though. I love the new dash display, the LS seems well equipped for the price.

I have a 2018 Traverse High Country, and it seems that Chevy no longer makes that trim, which means they lost a segment of their user base. The red interior trim looks ugly in person.

Great video Dave. You explain things very well. We have a 2020 High Country Traverse and I would like to up grade to the RS model. My wife loves her V6. How does the new turbo compare to her V6? Once again a great video.

On paper the Turbo4 out performs the V6... Hits peak torque at lower rpm. I think if you are happy with the V6 you'd be happy with the turbo

Not with a 4 cylinder. Turbo says the engine too small. Only 4 cylinders, as it wears the power will be reduced. Turbo over pressurizes the little 4 cylinder to make seem like a bigger engine. GM just lost this customer.

GM vehicles are one of the best in comfort and safety. Excellent family vehicle.Owned 2015 Traverse and had zero issues in 6 years except for headlights and breaks. Change oil religiously and they will go forever.

So, the reason the RS feels disappointing to me is because companies that put a sport model at the top of their trim lineup always give them more juice, jam, power. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, heck even Subaru at one time. I’d you have a “sporty trim” that is also the top trim, it always comes with power. Most mid range car manufacturers put sporty trims second from the top including GMC Chev on their truck lineups. It makes sense. Even Toyota doesn’t put a sport model at the top of their SUV/Trucks trims, though cost wise it’s pretty close their top trims, still the sporty trims tend to be legitimately capable adding additional functionality or capability to their vehicles. But GMC for their SUV’s adds the RS trim and RST trim that add zero real performance to the vehicles. So are they sporty? No, they have an appearance package, but it’s also their most expensive one…yet doesn’t really get you more. Sure the Yukon RST has what 13hp, but on a vehicle that expensive…seems kinda like the minimum effort. Big brakes? Sure…why tho, it’s no faster than the 2 trims below it. Better Tran’s tune? OK maybe they got something there, but the cost is astounding for what you get which isn’t anything to crow about. So I wish the RS trim actually resulted in some extra hp, which should be easy to do via tuning. Even if it’s only 30hp or a bunch more torque. Still the RS trim as it stands is what I would buy and I’m sure will sell a lot of them.

I WAS looking for one. Had high hopes. Fell in love with the Z71....then I saw all the reviews where it struggles hard going up tiny trails cuz of it's "all-new" anemic 4 cyl. Oh well.

My RS is only for me but I did have 4 full size adults front and back and everyone was comfortable. I didn’t have to raise my front seat up and the back passengers didn’t wanna get out because they loved that roof with that view.
