The 2024 Glock Colorado State Championship - 1st Match In Back To Back Tier 4 Match Weekend

Wow, what a weekend! This is the first of 2 videos from this weekend. I was out in Cameo, Colorado where I worked as staff for the 3rd Rock Regional IDPA Championship. This weekend they hosted a back to back tier 4 match. We shot one match one day, then shot a completely different match the next day. Not likely this year. I have a vacation planned then Idaho state right after that in sept. With nationals being in August this year I can justify another match in September this year. I’d love to come back soon though. Utah was a great match.

Good to see you not getting penalized for shooting the activator steel then paper then back to the swinger. The local club is stuck on the interpretation of you have to shoot the moving target first after you engage the activator. I believe the rule says "can " be interrupted not "must"be interrupted Too bad I missed those matches.

Unfortunately they are incorrect. It’s says you “may” break engagement per 3.2.3

I will admit the IDPA rules do make it discouraging to shoot some stages

I love stages with vehicles. Are you allowed to tape down or put a rubber band on your grip safety?

There’s mixed information about that. Some say yes. Some say no.
