@@randyadventure no the last one was really cool the way it turned dark in the middle of the day. It was lot different, it just went dark kind of quick and looked weird before and after. Cool stuff and really good information you gave like scratches on glasses and things most wouldn't think of.

Cloud cover allowed me to view the last total eclipse with no eye cover. Just lucked out with not too little or too much.

as a birder, it should be really interesting to pay attention to what the birds do during the eclipse! some may start flocking wildly while others may just try to perch and sleep xD if you'll be filming, hope you catch some of that action!

Definitely! I've heard people say that the diurnal insects go quiet, and the crickets start chirping, but I'm not sure how many species of insects are making noise in early April. But I will be setting up cameras and microphones to capture what occurs during that time. Where I live and where I will be during the eclipse, the crows make calls all day long, so at least maybe they will go quiet for a few minutes. 🤣 And thank you!

I watched many for decades in the past. It's basically a ritual, which I no longer a participant.

I've seen two solar eclipses partially, but this will be my first in totality. Probably may one and only as well. I seriously doubt I'll make it to 2045.
