Controversy notwithstanding (because the wording of their sales pitch makes the entire enterprise technically illegal), from an external perspective, if you don't take it seriously, treat the title as a joke (as it should be), and don't try to use it versus legitimate patents of nobility, it's fine, and great for banter in your friend circle.

Just found your podcast a couple days ago and I've been loving it! Watched up to episode 13 now and I can relate to so many things you guys talk about. It was uncanny listening to scarra and I kept thinking, "holy shit scarra is me". Anyway, scarra, if you haven't tried a sports manga called "King golf", ill recommend it. It's about a high school delinquent who gets his pride scratched by a talented golfer in his school and he starts golfing because of him. Peter, I love that you are into romance manga. Please recommend more haha. I'll recommend "a good day to be a dog". I'm assuming you've read this already because I was a popular webtoon, but just in case.. also, I enjoy "the remarried empress" I never see the depth of your guys' experience with manga in other videos so I hope you guys keep this podcast going for many years! My style of traveling is exactly like Scarra's. The people I travel with really don't like that style and can't understand how I enjoy such an "unplanned" travel style... but I really just prefer it that way. Totally understand you Lord Scarra!

I could not care about Solo Leveling anymore, but the new series genuinely sounds good. Power scaling going down is what I really wanted. Update: As someone who didn't even finish SL's last 30 chapters with how I just wasn't feeling it anymore. I'm enjoying Ragnarok more so far. Only thing I could ask for is just more memorable side characters, that's one of the biggest things I was missing in the original.

Book club ! Disclaimer brain off storytelling has its place and i enjoy a lot of it, but it has to be really good to justify a lack of substance imo. Great art direction, love the utilisation of the form as certain scenes scroll down to a reveal one continuous image with a climatic moment at the end, like a director panning down a camera to a reveal. It does encourage scrolling past to simulate motion which rewards skimming text which I find odd. Insofar as I can tell though, this seems to be a story rooted in class structure, with some people seemingly born into a role which entitles them to privilege and riches others are born without. It is odd to me that the book, through its main character, seems to say you can obtain higher status if you want it bad enough, and those without must just not be trying. The suggestion that the lower class are in a poorer state because they just don't want to try, feels misguided. Except it then gets worse, and moves towards a reveal of a hereditary/inherited element, or at least that is the inference. If you’re going to have those themes at the foundation of a story you should have something to say about it imo. The colour and shading is flat for me. The overly stylised digital aesthic doesn't compare to it's sequential colour panelling counterpart - comics - for me. I think it's a consequence of having one creator on every aspect of the book, whereas comics seek out experts for each field. The colour choices feel like style over substance and doesn't contribute to the storytelling. I might try to finish the final chapters, but so far, chapters 1-9 are the definition of empty calories to me. I can count the things i learned about the main character's personal life on one hand. Sorry if that yuks anyone's yum - it might just be a me problem! 😅

Scarra if you haven’t yet try Hardcore leveling Warrior. It has 317 chapters in the first series and the second series Hardcore Leveling Warrior: Earth game is on going with about 45 chapters or so
