Bro, this is why you are the best channel on KZbin for Toyota Tundra advise! You talk reality while others try to flex the top end Sema show models.I bought an SR5 4WD back in 2001 and it has 280K miles now and stills purrs when I start it. I’m not a person who needs to have a “show car” or the latest top end model plus the huge payment that follows. I pay off my cars, and enjoy the security of not worrying about high payments. This SR5 is going to give you the 80% or the performance of the TRD Pro but you are paying 65% of the price. Think about that and the fact that you will have it paid off without stressing out about not having money to use for vacations or anything.

Mark I have a 2010 Tacoma off-road but I’m going to be upgrading to a Tundra in next few years and when I do if they still make this exact trim I think this is what I’m gonna buy! I’ve never really needed my rear locking differential and can’t justify the price tag of anything higher than a base sr5 thus this is perfect. Didn’t know the sx upgrade existed. Thanks man

Thanks to being informed by all of tundra dude 34s dealer walks, I was able to buy an SR5 crewmax on Friday with the convenience package (blind spot and 32 gal tank), the premium audio package (14 inch screen and bed lights) and the premium package (heated seats and dual zone climate) all for the same price as the last advertised SX in this video. Hackensack NJ for those who want to see their inventory. Thanks for l the videos tundra dude. I’m part of the gang now

Fear not, the piped in sound is only with JBL, which isn’t available on SR5 😁

Excellent review and information. Thank you for the research. I agree prices are high on these trucks, but prices are high on everything. The add on to MSRP, I will not pay it on any vehicle. The only vehicle I ever paid sticker for was my 23 LX, the demand at the time was high, and when I found a maganese luster and peppercorn/white combo I paid it, my choice. If the price is too high, and or the dealer is playing add on games walk away. As soon as money becomes cheaper they will sell again. I respect if one wants to keep their V8, I love the 3.4 tt. As far as prices "tumbling" down, good luck with that in the current political climate.

Parked my 2020 TRD Pro alongside a 2024 Tacoma today. About ten (10) inches difference in overall length and I believe that is easily lost in the legroom of the back seats in the TACO making them really close in size. My 2020 Pro was 53,000'ish new. The TACO I compared it to was almost 51,000. A comparable 2024 Tundra TRD Pro is in the 70's as you know. Have these trucks really become 20,000 better in 4 years?

You can get the 32 gallon tank on SX. Just have to make sure it has the SR5 convenience package.
