I love how these new gm vehicles make more power but yet are slower 0-60. The old enclave was similar weight if not mistaken and had only 310 hp and 270 lb ft or so but it did 60 in high 6s to low 7. Same with the turbo with over 400 lb ft in the canyon is slower but over a second to 60 than the previous generation 3.6, either it doesn’t make all that power or something isn’t adding up. Not that people drive these for acceleration but this is no quicker than a 2011 enclave/traverse with the dual exhaust if I’m correct.
@sethnapolitano396Күн бұрын
I don't get it, either. It should be at least as quick if not quicker. How & where does the extra 60 lb ft of torque help.
@JremVКүн бұрын
@@sethnapolitano396also the weight seems to be around the same as well. When GM first came out with their 3.6 v6 in the impala I always thought the numbers were overrated. I think that they are overrating the numbers in these new turbos. The design is gorgeous. I think Buick just outclassed Lincoln, Mazda, Infiniti, Lexus, Acura, and Genesis with the futuristic but timeless interior design. It looks like a private jet on the interior and _very_ expensive. The execution is impressive *gm* especially for a vehicle that’s sub $100,000. I love how they were dedicated in giving the higher trim Enclaves a bespoke audio system and the Avenir a unique suspension system compared to the Traverse and Acadia. *gm* refrained from just throwing the 33-inch Cadillac display in the models from Buick and GMC and instead Buick got its own bespoke 30-inch display slotting right below the Cadillac’s entry level display. This was executed perfectly and it’s very exciting for the Buick brand.

Always a great review. Love the natural delivery of history of each vehicle you do and the testing. A plus for you. Now a Buick for 63 thousand American dollars?! In Canada that will get up to 80 thousand dollars out the door with taxes. For a Buick ?! A GM 4 cylinder turbo putting out over 300 horsepower and torque is terrifying. That is why the engine sounds horrible when you hit the gas in your review. Anyone remember the Quad 4 in the beretta from Chevy in the 90s? They all broke under any pressure! I had a 91 Chevy beretta and the v6 I had lasted forever. Just put a V6 in it. I will say the interior of the model you drive is nice. And the automatic cruise control gets a lot of praise. But 63 thousand dollars for a Buick ? Just before Covid, the Buick commercials were begging customers to look again with their advertising saying yes it is a Buick lol. After Covid up to 63 thousand dollars? And please, those 3rd row seats are useless. Much like any vehicle this size. This trend of emergency type seats should just go away. On top of no comfort I feel bad for anyone sitting in that third row if God forbid, the vehicle is rear ended. Especially with no rear bumper sticking out to absorb with the design, not only is it not comfortable, passengers will have catastrophic injuries from any mild to moderate rear end impact. But I digress, way way way too much money and so many things that will break for a Buick. Super cruise is great and the interior is nice. Ok great strides for GM but way too greedy price wise. I also like that the roof opens as much as it does. Very cool. I love my Subaru Forrester for the roof. But before I get attacked for being bias. I, in no way would buy the 2025 Subaru. It is also way overpriced and so underpowered it is ridiculous. Put the turbo motor like the outback in it. At least offer the option. Anyways I add that because these high prices for little in return is a trend not just for GM. still at least, until Toyota messes things up for I g Subarus into rav 4 hybrids, at least Subaru entering is fantastic if it fits the niche you want. I would buy this Buick with a v6 that I know would last, take out gimmicks like massaging seats. Then, while taking out things that are not useful and will break anyways, make the Buick affordable. Again an industry wide issue with prices. This Buick Should be 40 thousand American and 50 thousand Canadian. I feel I am being fair here. Now will GM be fair?
