Corvette C8 - I read somewhere, that originally that separator "handle" was not a handle but solid like the C8 (which put buttons on it). But very early on they felt the passenger was "too separate" and they wanted to give them more access to the "driver controls".

Im glad they decided to change it to just the handle, I feel that the passenger side would feel far too claustrophobic with a solid panel

Gabi, I have to commend you, for not looking at the camera-screen. I see too many folks (young and old) rely too heavily when reversing and parking, but looking at the camera when backing out isn't that safe. You used the mirror and gauged, that' is good on you girl!

When I was looking in 2021, this model was the sleeper .. still super hard to get (the market was just changing). Only offered in the top model it is actually seen to compete with the Camry and Accord as the Elantra is very similar, particularly up front measurement to measurement. With the Accord particularly .. which is when I looked just now is "over $40,000 and under $50,000" range here - if that Accord's much bigger BACK seat is not that important in practical terms (Elantra is still a good size) - I think it is a humm decision if money does matter.

Does it have rear HVAC vents under the front seats? (Since it doesnt have center console ones,) I know the ICE version does .

The hybrid dual-clutch is strangely ideal as you get proper gears . The dual clutch is a non-complex one - 6 speed - and the battery handles all the stop and go AND that electric intelligence does the hand off to the dual clutch when conditions are ideal for it. So it should be very durable and transparent. Also noteworthy, is that like the N-Line .. this one gets to good rear suspension that is independent - and it works better as the low slung weight of the batteries plants it well.

Yes you’re absolutely correct! Stop and go is not ideal for DCT’s but with a hybrid the stress is taken off the transmission, I don’t recall if i mentioned the multi-link rear suspension in this video but yes that is introduced in the HEV & is also seen on the N-Line and N

I prefer the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid: more refined, more power (200 HP), more equipment/options, reliability, etc., but cost a few thousands more and has lower fuel mileage (49/51 city/hwy vs 51/58) than the Elantra hybrid.

12V battery reset? What does that do? I can’t say I’ve ever seen that before

The 12V battery powers the car’s startup and electrical systems. If the vehicle isn’t driven for an extended period, like during a camping trip or vacation, OR you are running your lights/radio etc without the vehicle being fully turned on, the battery may discharge. In a regular ICE vehicle, you’d need a jump start, but with the 12V reset button in our hybrid vehicles, you can use the hybrid battery to jump start the 12V battery.
