Regarding the back seat sliding mechanism, the lack of a third row doesn't negate its usefulness. If you have a large item that's just slightly too long to fit in the cargo area, you can simply slide the back seat forward a bit without having to fold it down. This means you can transport your large item AND still have a fully usable back seat at the same time if the need arises. My friend's Hyundai Ioniq 5 has this feature and it's been surprisingly useful.

Because the value and size focused US market would be really greedy to get a smaller SUV for same price, right? The CX-60 is not cheaper in Europe… it is $60,000 in UK after conversion.

Why do all the reviewers keep saying these don't have a torque converter? They do. They just use clutches for every gear after 1st. It works just like ZF's 8HP, which has been around for about 10 years now. It's nothing unusual or unproven at this point.

Like so many others, I was shocked that these dimensions are the exact same as the CX-90. Everyone knows they should have shortened this model and maybe made it a little sportier than the 90. Hopefully they learn their lesson over the next couple years and introduce a better option.

Im in the minority for sure, but I like this, and I get what they were going for. Just too expensive… The Passport is also a large 2 row crossover, costs about $12k less than this, and is quicker. I get that the Mazda’s interior is objectively nicer, but $12k nicer? Idk man…

@hskrgradАй бұрын
I think you are missing the point of the hate. Its not a "shrunken cx90". That is exactly why it has gotten all the hate. It is a CX-90 with different wheels, blacked out trim, and one less row of seats. If it was indeed a "shrunken cx90" it would probably be getting a lot more love because there are a lot of things to like about the engine, handling, interior, and design styling. Just silly that it is the exact same size as the CX-90.

It’s a literal copy paste. There is nothing different about it for it to be given a completed different model designation. If this was what they wanted to release, it would have made more sense to be a trim level of the CX90. It has no purpose. How many people are in the market for a 2 row SUV which is the size of a 3 row? I’ll tell ya, basically no one. It’s a great car yes, but it has no real purpose to exist.
