The main reason QBs go so early is the fact of the 5th year option. With the most expensive position in the sport, it makes sense to extend your "Super Bowl window" as far as possible, by adding in a rookie scale contract for 5 years, instead of 4.

cam ward to the Giants is a perfect fit imo. Not sure if thier gunna be quite bad enough to secure him, but To me Cam ward is what we wanted daniel jones to be. Tough, Athletic, can run, and throw a beautiful deep ball. This giants team is genuinely filled with talent, and young talent too. a Guy like cam Ward could absolutely ignite this team to a playoff level team next year, easily. Watching dexter lawrence put up mvp level production on a basement dweller team is such a bummer.

I doubt they'll be a playoff team next year with Cam Ward or any rookie QB. But the Giants aren't going to be bad enough to secure a top 2 pick which is likely what would be required to get him. That's going to be either the Titans, Panthers, Raiders, and I'll say the Browns as well. Pats will likely be worse too but they're not in the QB market. Maybe the Saints will be in that top 5 mix as well who knows until Carr gets back but by then it could be too late for them. Keep forgetting guys like Daniels and Stroud are outliers. Caleb and Nix have been winning more because of their defense. But the Giants are screwed either way. The free agent market is bleak, nobody is really going to move the needle to playoff contender, and I don't see Daboll wanting to take a 2nd or 3rd round flyer on QBs not named Sanders or Ward and start them day 1.He wants the top guys and a lot of them look like NFL backups in my opinion. Their only real options are running it back w/ DJ in 25 and continue to build the team or sign a guy who potentially won't be any better if not worse than DJ and hope for 26'. .

Darts two things he does very well is getting the ball out quick and working the middle of the field. Those in breaking routes are where Calvin Ridely is deadly IMO. When I watched Levis in that system it looks more tailored to Dart then a guy like Levi's who wants to Chuck it every play lol

The NFL hype machine has gotten to work on these prospects, don't you worry, there'll be plenty of generational talent, "next Mahomes", franchise saving, must have prospects in the draft. Here was last year's assessment of the QB class right BEFORE the NFL hype machine got to work (after the college season but before the NFL season ended). JJ Mcarthy: low ceiling, late second/early third round pick (it was as low as 4th round). Bo Nix: polished but low ceiling, too old, late second round pick. Micheal Penix Jr: Polished but too injury prone, early second round pick. Jayden Daniels: low polish, one year wonder, mid to late first round pick. Drake Maye: high ceiling, pro ready, top of 1st round pick. Caleb Williams: generational talent but a project far from pro ready, top of 1st round pick. As you can see, the NFL hype machine can take even 2nd or 3rd round QBs and turn them into franchise saving prospects.

The Panthers should trade both Young and the other dude and they should take Shedeur and then take Allar with their second pick. Every bottom 15 team should take a QB with their first pick. There are a large number of excellent developmental prospects. QB is by far the most important position. Even the patriots should take a QB, in case Maye flops. They know that Brisset doesnt quite have it, so he needs to go. Kurtis Rourke is superb and 6'5', 225#.

As a Saints fan, we need everything. I like Rattler, I think he was put in a bad position. Two things can be true; he’s not ready and the oline is trash. Haener isn’t gonna make anything better cuz no one can survive that o-line. Even if it was back to normal our QBs aren’t the answer. This could be our first top 10-5 pick in forever and we haven’t drafted a QB in the first round since Archie Manning 🤦🏾. So, you may want to redo your homework on Shedeur's draft process as its going to be more of a wild one versus him going to a horrible team - situation - organization overall. Last years is actually very very good lol. Daniels, Caleb, Maye have all had good starts for rookies! and JJ and Penix both looked solid in preseason so I have faith they can be great too.

@@MetroSportsYTYou're bad at you're job, your draft order is all off. The only QB's worth drafting are Cam, Sheduer and Milroe. Those three are in the 10 highest graded QB's this season, all good pocket passers. Nussmeier is inaccurate and inconsistent plus he can't read a defense and the same goes for Gabriel. They're game managers at best and I'm sure most of them will be 3rd-5th rounders who will flame out. Milroe, Ward, and Sheduer and good pocket passers with some flaws to be worked out, Milroe has the upside of his athleticisim. They're worth a first round pick...

I remember ESPN and other networks was saying that the 2023 QB class was the worst ever only for CJ Stroud to get drafted by one of the worst teams the Texans and lead them to the playoffs and had one of the greatest rookie seasons statistically ever for a QB. 🥱
