Jersey is the smartest toddler ever. I never woulda even thought to ask "Can you say I can't outside?", he always thinks out of his range, and for him to know a bit of the monologue shows how good of a listener he is. I've always loved acting and I must say that Alexis facial expressions are the best. They both did better than I expected for 7 year olds. Great parenting mama and dada McClure, I love this fam!

I really agree. Lesson learned that you have to earn what you want in life. Another lesson learned here is to think it out before you say or do something. Love your parenting skills. One thing tho, when I was growing up we were taught to say yes ma'am and ma'am and that's how my husband and I taught our children. What are your thoughts on that?

The McClure Family rocks! This was a wonderful family video. It had everything that goes along with family life. It had beautiful precious children, naughtiness, loving parents, teaching, lessons learned, consequences, achievement and success. It was fun, guys. I enjoyed it! I really like your parenting style. Mama & Papa McClure, knowing that you don't want shut them down and that they are very creative and talkative, channeling their speech into something constructive & challenging, I get that....perhaps it makes them smarter, perhaps it taught them that they can channel their speech...at some level. Certainly outside the box of "punishment". Not sure if it taught them about not sassing their parents. Creative solution, for now and now is all we've got. Excellent lesson and monologue! Teaching them not to say “I can’t” is good, but I think it depends on the situation. For things that look like chores, homework, or other responsibilities, it would be applicable. In bad situations, though, especially if the parents aren’t there, they may need to say, “I can’t.” For example, if someone tells them to tell a lie or steal, they should say they can’t do it. It’s all about making them know the different situations they can or cannot say “I can’t.”
