@@pakkinen the 2011 WRC cars were based on the S2000 cars regulations. Ogier, who developed the car with Sainz, ran a Fabia S2000 for the entire of 2012 to help with development. I think Skoda's WRC experience helped a lot while developing the Polo R. And in the video I specifically said 'helped developed'. I didn't say they developed the whole car.

Love this car and are thinking on gettin a 2014 RS when I can. That said its funny how people view car brands. Skoda for many are just a cheap and dull VW rebrand but thats far from the truth. As you said, just look at the history. I like that they dont get the love they ddeserve tho as it makes them rarer and more uniq. Its like when I drive my citroen xsara. People wonder whats wrong with me liking this dull looking car. Being a huge rally fan tho I feel like a champ when I push it on a snowy swedish forest road

Have late 19 245 model, so boring compared to mk2. Could be I’m now driving automatic, and ride is not as harsh as mk2 even with 19 inch wheels .

@@tomosjohn230 You have to ask Skoda about that. But the story is that Skoda couldn't call their car an Octavia RS because Ford trademarked 'RS' for their focus. So they switched to using vRS. And than 'v' is basically the symbol above the letter S in the Skoda name. Even on their main website the car is called Octavia RS

You are very wrong, Audi had copied BMWs design, just look at the short and low front end of the A4 and the 3 series E36, 46,90 ..., audi's cars were looking like wales, before they copyed BMW, if you are an audi boy I can get that comment from you but if you're not then it's a stupid statement.
