After waiting almost one month, mine finally arrived last week... what can I say... I love this guitar. It`s big and it´s heavy, wow. My first harley benton and pretty shure not my last. As others have already said in their comments, the colour is much less cream than in the video, mine is almost normal white, but I still love it.

WARNING for everyone who wants to buy this guitar! i bought this guitar in Aged white and it's not even remotely cream colored like in this video or even their pictures on their website!! its almost normal white with only barely a touch of yellow when it hits the right lightning, sometimes.. i contacted thomann and they said Agufish's guitar is a prototype and they changed it.. idk why they didn't changed the pictures on their website tho, bcuz on there its nice cream colored but what i got is definitely not. i wanted creamy eet fuk hetfield action, but got snakebyte white instead.. Hunter why? why do they had to change the color.. it was literally perfect in your videos! Edit; ah and ya my switch is wiggly too.. guitar plays great tho.

I did not like the cream that much to be honest. I'm more in for white guitars the level of snow white that the fender player series has. But i agree that the color change takes away from the eet-fuk-ness.

Their service has turned to shit. They say they have a 'customer satisfaction guarantee', but they really only care about getting as much money from you as they can, regardless what it means to them. I seem to have given them a month long loan, for an order that was supposed to take a few days to arrive. Multiple reps were just rude about it. And that's assuming I ever get my money back.

Everyone in my local scene has at least one Harley Benton knocking about in the collection cause of how great their build quality has gotten in the past couple of years, with a change of pickups and some tinkering you can easily match the sound and build of other budget brands such as Squier or Epiphone that will usually run you an extra hundred-and-something quid for a decent one here in the British Isles.

A practical con I can think of is the channel switch being where the switches are on the more classical explorer variants instead of closer to the other controls like the epiphone 1984 explorer.

@Agufish: I have one of these and the production model changed to the one you have. The aged white finish now looks more to a clean white and the logo on the headstock no longer says "pro series" but "tribute series" (also see my KZbin Review video). Except for that fully agree about what you said about this guitar...insane value for money and the pickups have already exchanged to an EMG Het set :D

Interesting... I'll do some investigating. This was the prototype that was approved so I wonder why it was changed, and why it's still aged-white on the website? Either there was a miscommunication somewhere or possibly a factory error? As for the "Pro Series" vs "Tribute Series" I also hadn't heard about that change, but if I had to guess it's because Pro series insinuates Fusion-like specs, whereas this doesn't have things like spokewheel truss rod adjustment, stainless steel frets, etc. But again, just a guess because apparently I've been kept out of the loop on that...

Here's the reply I got from Thomann support: "Regarding the reviews you have seen online, according to our purchasing team the comments are correct regarding the colour. It is a modern white and not the aged one seen online, our colleagues will updated the online pictures as soon as possible. This model is part of the Pro series and the headstock displays the Pro Series logo."

I have the harley benton sc-1000. Its the Esp eclipse copy, mine comes with the Hbz active pick ups. For a 200.00 guitar it's not a bad guitar.

I love explorers and own two, an Epiphone 1984 reissue and a custom warmoth I built back when you could still get the real explorer shapes. I’m seriously thinking of grabbing the HB 84 and 76 and this video pretty much cinched it for me.

I really like the tone in the middle position. Bridge is really muddy and the neck is almost Tele twang sounding. That middle tho is butter I would definitely change the pickups but otherwise looks bad ass.
