They were being fun by emulating the comically low budget "animation" of the series (the fights are almost all just still frames in sequence.) The place they really put effort in is Nu Gundam.

I've found out the reason . As this series had been released and was being aired , power rangers , or the makers , stole their idea from it . Well , for quite a while the p.r producers have been supposed to have stolen it .

A fun-fact for the fans of SRW: Did you know that this game 'has' Mario and Luigi from the SMB Anime: Peach-hime Kyuushutsu Daisakusen? Where are they, you may ask... Well, Luigi got the low budget Godmars here, while Mario... Is piloting the Gundam where they blew up the budget on.
