@@roberthammenrudh Hi, I want to ask you why you use a windbreaker without a hood?

@@petkoshopov1376 hi 👋🏻, don’t see the reason since I always pack a beanie. So in case of strong winds, that’s what I use. The beanie is also used for sleeping.

I used to use my clothes bag stuffed with all the clothes I wasn't wearing. Now I have a therma-a-rest one I really like. Luxury!

I got a stuff sac pillow by Orb Ultralight - a local gear maker but Zpacks have a version too - 36g and added 1mm elastic to attach to sleep pad. Carried my quilt during the day then turn inside out, put clothes in and a really comfy pillow. If I was braver, I'd use it as clothes stuff sac and save a few grams by stuffing quilt into backpack without a sac.

The Flextail Zero to s my FAVORITE pillow, period. I even like it better than my Zenbivy down top pillow and my Nemo Fillo pillows, and it's about half the cost.

I own several pillows, two of which you showed. Flextail is definitely a nice luxurious pillow to take, but for long distances I'll take the lightest option.

Same for me… the Dreamsleeper is good enough… haven’t had any problems yet! At 44 grams is perfect for a UL set up.

@@jeffpeters5347 no unfortunately not, I’m thinking about adding a few of the most popular and try out and the Exped is probably one of them… so for a future episode perhaps!

Did you have the Decathlon Trekking Pillow for about 15 EUR? It is very good. Only thing: I sew a rubber strap on it to fix it to the mattress.

@@Zitronenkojote hi 👋🏻, no, haven’t tried that one! Decathlon makes a lot of good budget gear and I’ve heard of the pillow as well…but haven’t tried it. I will as it to the list… pillows is always nice and easy to try!

even better, put some little dots of glue under the pillow and it won't move. You can use Seam Grip or anything else like that.

I recently had to replace my DreamSleeper (now apparently DreamNation) because of a leaky valve. The adhesive surrounding the valve had come undone, and I'm told by the owner that this can happen in hot conditions. He does offer a free replacement on leaky pillows (after returning them for inspection) after one year. Mine was past the one year warranty, but he did still offer me 50% off a new pillow and I liked it well enough to buy another one. The DreamNation is supposedly improved, with a better valve but I don't notice any difference other than the material.

You are right, I see now it goes under both names 🤷🏼‍♂️ anywhoo… it’s a great and comfy light weight pillow and glad to hear you got some discount for buying a new one 👍🏻 I hope it will last a bit longer with the improvements they have made.

@@xjessukx we are all different for sure so off course what works for me will not work for everyone! I’m a side sleeper and those works for me, but yes… I’ve heard others needing higher pillows as well. You can always stuff a hoodie or something underneath to rise it up some.

*There's no such thing as "3 best pillows".* The reason being a pillow is probably the most personal item of all in your gear. I remember a long time ago when I was traveling quite often for competition. My coach told me to bring my own pillow to make sure I'd sleep better. *Not everyone is the same* Some are side sleepers, some sleeps on the back and prefers no pillow or a thin one. Some prefers to have their head more elevated, some less. Some like a firm pillow, other a very smooth one. Some likes a silky surface, some not. And so on... Now you understand why "3 best pillows is a fallacy, an utopia". That's why many will bring a heavier pillow just because they'll sleep better. Remember there's nothing worst than a bad night of sleep when camping.... Also, Trekology doesn't have one, but NINE different pillows. *Pro tip:* Have a piece of polar sewned into your compression bag (one one side only). Once your sleeping bag out, simply overturn the compression bag and stuff some clothes inside. Tada! This will allow you to adjust your makeshift pillow to YOUR liking. And you'll save weight and space over that. Now for the pillows in this video: *FLEXTAIL* It's simple, how can you fully trust someone who was given the product? It's impossible. *TREKOLOGY* In MY view, and remember, what's good for me, might not be good for YOU. It's a nice pillow and I like it. It's my go to IF I decide to bring a pillow and not using my DIY compression-bag-pillow. One very important feature not mentionned in this video is the strap. You can unsnap it to make your pillow even lighter. There are small sticky dots under the pillow that works very well and why I leave the strap at home. *BIG SKY* It is indeed a very light pillow, but it's not because YOU never had a problem, that the problem doesn't exist. Don't over-estimate yourself... Besides that, the "not-so-good" valve is a well known and documented problem. The material is also very thin and can easily puncture even if you are carefull. Also, it's so fragile that you're better put it in a stuff sack to protect it. So more weight. As for saying it's very generous from Big sky to replace the pillow if it develops a leak... Hello! this is just a normal warranty and there's nothing special here. Trekology and Sea To Summit have the same warranty. Besides that, every good manufacturer will replace a defective item because it's the law. Now, some are better at dealing with that, others are a nightmare. MSR being the worst. Petzl is so-so. GSI and SILKY being awesome. you can present pillows, but saying this or this is the best one is a fallacy...
