Why would we say that Factor 5 belongs to the Fibrinogen Group and not the Prothrombin group for example? What is it about Factor 8 that makes it belong to Fibrinogen Group? The factors in the fibrinogen group has some characteristics in common: 1. They are not present in serum. 2. They are not stable in storage. 3. They are inhibited by Thrombin-Thrombomodulin Complex (TTC).
