Hi Dan. I saw many of your videos. I also hear about the importance of high income skill from you. But I am living in a country where I can hardly find any skill that can land me 10,000$ per month. My question is, is it possible to earn 10,000$+ per month in a low income country?

Merry Christmas for you and your family Sifu, God bless you. George from Greece.

For young people, getting a good boss (sei-fu) is the most important thing in your life. Much more important than money. Your first point is absolutely correct. Having a good boss to build up your good habits, correct your mistakes and providing you technical training is extremely critical for your career success.

Hi Dan, I really think you need to do some more videos on handling failures.... Bcoz failures are portrayed as a big sin... But the reality seems to give you more failures than successes, in everybody life, even with successful people they achieved that overall success becoz of knowledge and skills they acquired out of failures.. Hence most of these people treat failures and success equally or they are not bothered about the success they just do their job the right way...

Great set of videos, Mr. Lok. Instead of making more & more money and chasing the "golden idol", I would like to hear your thoughts about how to live comfortably on the minimum amount of money possible. Say a young person has just earned an associates degree from a community college. He/she has minimum college loans and about to enter the workforce. How can this person attain a "comfortable" lifestyle with the basic needs of housing, food, transportation, health care and also save some money for the future to start a family? I think this would be practical in this day and age. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
@DanLok6 жыл бұрын
Paul, don't spend money on things you don't need.
@taoist326 жыл бұрын
Paul Horta You still need to be clear on how much you need for everything you want. Mortgage, family expenses, school loans, etc. you need the numbers for each. Then, find a job that pays about 50% more than your wants and needs. This gives you enough of a cushion to be able to save and invest for the future (retirement and fulfilling dreams).
@wallaceleewl91896 жыл бұрын
I think you forget about wedding cost, a new home. Will your future wife let you buy affordable housing? What if your future wife spending habits is like she love to spend lots of money. You hate to spend so much. What happen when she coax you into buying this and that? Because she bust her credit limit. What are you going to do? How about a child? Kid cost money and time. Kid usually want every toys thanks to brilliant marketing. How about your child education? Emergency family expenses if your child is very sick? Do you have the time to take care of your child and family? These are the many questions you have answer.

Goal setting is important but I don’t think that fine details of goals are _that_ important. Perceivers in MBTI, for example, love to keep their options open and wait for more information down the road and only decide with clarity when and where necessary. Knowing that I want to drive a Bentley should be enough so why waste time and energy _now_ over which model or color? I can decide these a few weeks/months before buying one. There will be newer models, more options, upgrades, right?
@ErikPT5 жыл бұрын
engrtun I think he means SMART so like Set a goal, Measuring a plan or challenge, Action oriented what steps are needed to take, Reasonable the goal has to be within the terms of reality not ideals and Timed which means setting a deadline or end-date.

I wish! In my type of business people are so busy being competitive that they don't want to show you anything...just keep the secrets all to themselves. And when you pay, they make you think they want to help you so that they can pay their bills. It's a well known fact. I've even asked a quite few people along my journey for mentor-ship and they would always have an excuse...too afraid to say down-right NO. This has been well over 25 years, so I know what I"m talking about. They don't want to 'really' help people develop their craft. It's not a common thing people do. It's a rare thing. I'm alone in this journey.
