The full cut of the Japanese movie "The Three Treasures" AKA "The Birth of Japan" was on Internet Archive with English subtitles. Since that version has never gotten a Western release this was cool as I could finally see it. It doesn't appear to be there now however.

I do love that no one can even look at them, like a lot of religious relics said to be in famous mosques and churches around the world. Reminds me of Steamed Hams from the Simpsons. "Aurora Borealis!? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? All localized to your kitchen??" "Yes." "May I see it?" "....No.

In my personal interpretation of the three treasures it goes as follows: The emperor holds three treasures to uphold the nations Spirit, the sword to defend the Nation from threats, the mirror to reflect wisdom and aid enlightenment to see beyond illusion, and the Magatama jewel as a constant reminder of Compassion, Generosity, Wisdom, and benevolence as well as Virtue in an emperor. Cough cough, this is only my interpretation of something i see great value in.
@thomas5585 Жыл бұрын
I've heard the magatama is actually a necklace of magatama because there is no plural or singular in the Japanese language. I would also add that the goshintai (御神体) at Shinto shrines are always hidden and never or very rarely shown t even the priests, so it's not unusual or suspicious that imperial treasures are being hidden. אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה is a quote from Exodus 3:14. It's what God calls himself.

I've been to the shrine Amaterasu hid in a cave. The cool part is that you have to hike down the mountain to the cave, which is way under the shrine. It's on the coast and you can climb out on the rocks into the water. So cool.

The first Japanese Imperial Family was from a world God's, YES, as we all know well, he is the first "Hero" experienced ISEKAI-TENSEI. He finished 3 stage of trials, Stone Age stage, Bronze Age stage and Iron Age stage. He won all challenges in each stage and defeated all LASU-BOSU, the final bosses for 3 stages. 3 sacred treasures of the imperial family originally ware the items he got when he won each LASU-BOSU, the Stone Gems to increase the number of INT, the Bronze Mirror for MP and the Iron Sword for ATK from the mightiest 8 heads dragon. Seems the family could rule the whole Japan and unite the country using such increased powers by the sacred items. YOU WIN. I can also guess easily that Japanese Emperor definitely have inherited some kind of holy magic even today, which ability is implemented as a preparation for the series 2.

Your hair is really cool dude. I like how the Magatama look, it's a very simple design. Also the sword gives us a view at how ancient Japanese swords were before the Tachi / Katana era. They liked straight swords. And the mirror must be related to Amaterasu because it has a sun in it.

What surprises me is that, just like the Ark of the Covenant is (allegedly) just kept in a small church in Ethiopia guarded by one monk, these treasures aren't really under close guard, are they? These shrines looked a bit remote but empty. (beside the one in the imperial palace ofc). With lots of people today not giving a damn about anything sacred and prone to drastic action, I'm really surprised that nobody in the last century or so hasn't taken upon themselves to forcefully take these Japanese imperial artifacts, or the ark of the covenant, or anything of the sort, and show them to the world for what they really are - or show that their supposed resting places are just empty or the item utterly destroyed by time.
@pattadonkantithammakorn8913 Жыл бұрын
There is still a general reluctance in Japan to allow a historical analysis of the regalia as such an assessment could potentially "de-mythologize" the items. So I humbly suggest that you should leave this matter for the Japanese to decide on what to do with their own stuffs. Thank you for reading my message.
@BrutalJambon Жыл бұрын
@@pattadonkantithammakorn8913 Well yeah of course it would de-mythologize them, that's the whole of point of what I was saying. And I never said the Japanese shouldn't be the one deciding what to do with these artifact, I said I was surprised that nobody, Japanese people included, never took it upon themselves to go seek out these things. With all the crazy people you'd think at least one would have tried.

The mirror looks like a shield and the magatama like a part of a necklace. So the 3 are like a warrior gear? Maybe someone could get the 3 together and become like a demigod warrior?? That sword, its design and shape doesnt look japanese at all...
@BrutalJambon Жыл бұрын
It's just a placeholder illustration, like he said, absolutely no one actually knows how it looks. There is only 1 written description from a monk centuries ago but it's quite hard to actually picture the thing with just that. However, archeological finds show us that in ancient times, Japanese swords were straight and were akin to Chinese swords (called a "Chokutō" - literally "straight sword") so it would make sense that it doesn't look like a katana. However, even if the origins are "mythological", I'm guessing the real physical object wouldn't have such a "fantasy" look either.

友達の直人さん、こんにちは!Good video on 3 Sacred Treasures and I must say your wonderful birth nation JAPAN does have a small Jewish history that dates back a few centuries ago before or after JAPAN was established as a country and with its imperial court. To be honest with you my friend Naoto, there is two disputed subjects on Japanese soil that I disagree with or should I say is bullshit to me like the "Tomb of Jesus Christ" in Shingo, Aomori Prefecture and the "Tomb of Moses" at Mount Houdatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture, I am very sure those two subjects are made up stores of Moses and Jesus that are not true to Japanese history. Trust me Naoto foreign people come to fool everybody on Japan by pretending to be Moses and Jesus. Naoto I like you and you still have the best knowledge of Japanese education inside your heart and soul. どうも有り難う、わが友よ!😊🇯🇵❤️🇺🇸✌️

Hi Dustin, thanks for your comment😊 Yes it is, the similarities in between are something like "urban myth", and it's dangerous to buy rumors seriously. I'd say it's better try to analyze why there's such rumors. Like, when it comes to the tomb of Jesus Christ in Aomori, there might be people who believed in Christianity, granted the tomb per se is a fake. In any case, thanks always for supporting the Japanalyst👍

Yeahhh....they're long gone, if they ever even existed in the first place. Otherwise at the very least you'd think they'd let historians or archaeologists or something see them.
@BrutalJambon Жыл бұрын
It's very probable the actual physical objects of today are indeed replicas made at one time or another. No one will look at them because it's what they symbolize that is important -the divine element in the mortal world, the divine right of the emperors to be emperors. That's why no one will ever admit to any of them being remade or lost or anything. Just like the Ark of the Covenant will never be shown to any historian either. They're basically just catalyst of faith - you just have to have faith in them existing and being what we say they are, you don't need to see them.
