Compre libros, pdfs, etc. Y muchas veces me desmotivé. Me habria venido bien hace muchos años atras 👍👏

@bonsaibellavista3 ай бұрын

@bonsaibellavista3 ай бұрын

Ya tienes mi like ;)
@bonsaibellavista4 ай бұрын

(Maaf kalau salah)

Would using a low sacrificial branch, in place of a main trunk, for a few years be comparable? Leaving all other branching & ramification in place.
@rogersfc5 ай бұрын
I've tried that and it isn't the best solution. First you'll have a terrible scar, it can heal over time but it will take a lot of years. If we consider selecting the low sacrificial branch, the years of development of that branch, the scar left and the heal process it will take more years than doing it correctly in the first place. The second issue is that almost inevitably you'll have an ugly bulk in that place wich also can produce inverse tapper. The result is that with the aim of going faster, you'll spend more time and the result will be less attractive and effective. With that being said, I encourage you to try it anyway. If we want to learn, there's no better way than trying things! Salutes!
@rogersfc5 ай бұрын
If you already like the tree in question, just enjoy it the way it is. You can leave low sacrificial brances every year, don't let them grow too big and use that tree to practice other bonsai thecniques. To do it the correct way from the begining it's better to buy a cheap seedling and do every step as the video tells. I would add that you can do it in a big pot or wood box with at least 3/5 gallon of substrate and a lot of fertilizer. That way you'll be able to work on the roots more often!

@pod054321 Hello, thank you very much for commenting, it is a question that we asked ourselves, we ask ourselves and we bonsaiists will always ask ourselves. I made this video because according to my experience and documents I read, this is the best and fastest way, although sometimes not be the most intuitive. Leaving low sacrificial branches to fatten a trunk could work but with several considerations: 1 It takes longer 2 There is a large scar that takes a long time to close 3 Bonsai branches (those that are not sacrificial) can be lost since sometimes the prominence of the sacrificial branch is so great that the other branches stop being functional to the tree and dry out

@rogersfc I loved this comment, I thank you very much! It's like that my friend, I didn't want to address the topic of nebari so that the main concept of the video is understood, but you are right. I send you greetings from Argentina!

OK, but how you can start the branching when you completed the whole trunk unless you cut the tree (3.53)? How will branching the old trunk on the bottom and on its lower parts? If it will, you will get branches with same thickness along the whole trunk... And another thing (a little bit of biology): A plant grows when it has leaves. Leaves carry out the photosynthesis. Photosynthesis produces organic matter that is incorporated into the plant. Without leaves there is no organic matter production, there is no growth. More leaves: greater growth. The more you cut back the branches, the less the trunk of the tree thickens until it grows back the branches and leaves necessary for photosynthesis...

Hello, this video is aimed at all people in general but more at bonsaiists in particular. It assumes some knowledge of bonsai techniques that I don't know if you have. What you say about the leaves is true. In my video I left the leaves aside to simplify and exemplify the technique and idea. Anyway, I appreciate the comment. Greetings.
