I would not be able to tell the difference and I love Albert King.

Wow, can tell you’ve definitely put some time into studying the techniques Albert used. You’ve definitely got that sound underneath your fingers! Love the playing, keep doing what you guys are doing 👍🏻

Bro, I've met Albert King and let me tell you, YOU SOUND LIKE Albert King!!! Subscribed!!
@RogerSloop6 ай бұрын
...first white hands I've ever seen squeeze those chops out of a Flying V. Big Props. Never seen or heard Eric OR Stevie suss Albert's signatures like that. Don't care what haters say,, if you're tuning down - CARRY ON. Wow. Love to see you live. Seriously, put that on a CD and let all of your subscribers know how to buy it. Cheers !

Great lesson but the one thing I didn't hear you didn't mention was that you're tuned 1-1/2 steps down which makes those 2 whole step bends alot easier. And it's a lot more difficult to pull off on a Fender guitar vs Gibson in my opinion, (Long Scale vs Short Scale neck). Chris Cain is a master of Alberts style. Worth checking out in case any of your readers haven't heard him. (There are two guitar playing Chris Cains so be sure to look for the blues player, you'll hear a ton of both Kings, Albert and BB plus his own thing.

Albert tuned down and plays his guitar upside down. So the top string is the E light. This allows to pul on the string.
@paulivy842321 күн бұрын
You guys are close, he used an 8 and 11 and a 14 on his top three strings, tuned 1 1/2 steps down, and played his signature turnaround in a completely different way than the usual box everyone's using try playing that lick going down

I like it. Still rough but you definitely captured some of that Albert feeling about half way through. Best Albert licks I’ve heard in these online guitar searches I’ve done for getting Albert’s sound. The tuning definitely makes a difference. Keep it up you got something going there.

And told it how it was. Albert wasn't a fan of Hendrix, but raved about Stevie Ray Vaughn. Which isn't suprising. Hendrix wasn't as rooted in the blues as Stevie, and Albert was a bluesman through and through, obviously. Regardless. I could watch all 3 guys play all day long!

The neck of your fiddle looks really dry. I can see your finger appearing to hang up. Recommendation. A light application of Lemon oil to the fret board will make your fingers easily glide on the rosewood. It also sounds better when the neck is smoother. Cheers

You got it as close as possible... one more guitar master could grasp what Albert did, as he was also lefty with the same string position, it was late great Otis Rush... Of course he had his own voice...

Tune the guitar down to C# (ie 3 steps down from normal E tuning) - use a set of 9s..it is very difficult to maintain good tuning..

The tuning as well plays a part with the string bending. As far as I know from reading he tuned ‘Lucy’ CFCFAD with the high E string tuned a whole step down to D, the B a whole step down to A, the G down to F, the D down to C and then the low A and E strings 2 whole steps down to F and C respectively.

So far everybody is wrong! It's very simple put an 8 and 11 and 14 on the top three strings, turn the guitar down a step and a half to c-sharp, just regular tuning down one and a half Semitones and use vibrato on the one note. And also everybody is playing in the wrong box! And lastly just watched the Stevie Ray Vaughan Albert video and you'll see Albert is playing higher on the neck than Stevie, who I think tune to e flat! Good luck

and after that, here's what you do: CHANGE THE B AND E STRINGS SO NOTHING BREAKS!!! XD
