Example 1: Slaking has a super high stat total, but his ability completely ruins him competitively. Imo, if you don't include UB's, you also cannot include Psuedo's, since UB's have a lower BST 570 than the Psuedo's with 600 BST. So your argument for not including the UB's because the list is gonna be predictable, has been undone by the fact that you include Psuedo's, since they are also predictable on the lists. However, this vid can lead into something more, like for example you take every stat individually per vid and look at which Pokemon per region are the strongest/best for that (For example, don't combine Special and Physical attack/defense).

To name a pokemon "The strongest in the region" is more than just BST, it's the move pool. The stat distribution, the typing, and the gym leaders typing. For example, you claimed that in the kanto region, the second best pokemon was arcanine. There is 3 gym types that counter its type. Although two out of the three gyms are not playable when you can get arcanine, one of them (the eight gym) is, and it is ground type. Also, in the elite four, there is ice type, which fire is super effective against. If four out of the 5 pokemon werent part water. And slowpoke is water and psychic. Then there is a fighting type member. Which he isnt super effective against and his onix is super effective against arcanine because onix is rock and ground type. Another member is dragon type, and he has gyrados, which is water and flying, water is super effective against fire. He also has a aerodactyl, which is rock and flying. Again rock is super effective against fire. This list is not accurate and I wouldnt recommend listening to him, BST do not make a pokemon the best. Also, half of this list was psuedo legends. This list was poorly made and did not take much effort to make.

I think you should make one of these for competitive battling too based on Smogon usage stats because base stats alone don't determine how strong the pokemon is in battle (which is the most important thing in the games). For example slaking is useless due to it's crippling ability but pokemon who are not even on this list are so op they are in the ubers tier like Blaziken and Aegislash

I think he shouldnt. Its clear this guy has no clue about competitive. Therefore, his opinion is completely irrelevant on the subject. I'd suggest checking out the "how good was this pokemon actually" channel if you want any insight towards competitive play. That guy actually puts a lot of effort in his videos instead of going to serebii and checking base stats xD

He makes opinions videos and there's a place for that. I'm not saying he puts shit content. I find this video pretty interesting, and somewhat informative too, but I do have some problems with it. Personally, I find that just looking at stat totals isn't a good way to measure a pokemon's strength, especially when your only comparing them to others of their region. Typing, ability, versatility, and regional situations (evil team pokemon, gyms/trials, etc.) should also be included when calculating the strength of a pokemon, but other than that, I loved the video! I do also wish that you hadn't included pseudo legendaries, as it made the entire video fairly predictable. At this point, we all know that Slaking is the only non-legendary and non-mythical pokemon that is stronger than a pseudo legendary. The first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh generation pseudo legendaries are, honestly, not surprising (and the third generation ones aren't either, but I already kinda mentioned it without saying it when I was talking about Slaking). Other than my little nitpicks, I think the video was awesome, and, like I said before, informative! I had no clue that Florges was one of the most powerful Kalos pokemon, but I'll also say that Crobat was no surprise, as I use one in every playthrough of every pokemon game I possibly can.
