Ego is only and simply: the need to be thought of as special by others. It is born out of fear. If you were the last person on the planet you would have no ego. Ask yourself why do you want to be special? It is simply the fear of not being loved.

@@Apaxetic I've had to ditch friends in my life who like that, it's really obnoxious. Try to stop living in a competitive mind frame. If you are smart, then use your intelligence to achieve what you want to in life. There is rarely a situation in life that it's necessary to prove that you are smarter than somebody else. Actions speak much louder than words, and so does success.
@Apaxetic
@Apaxetic 2 жыл бұрын
@@ZackWilliams_TheProducer I really am. I also ditched friends because of it and seeing them act like that made me self reflect. I had a lot of pressure put on me to exceed expectations as a kid so I grew up with a fear of failure and coming in second place. But I'm in a normal environment now and I realized I just want to fit in and make friends and not stress about being perfect because it really dampens the mood. And I whole heartedly agree with that last sentence. If I know I'm smart then I shouldn't go out of my way to prove it to people, it should be obvious already and if it isn't.. I'm probably not smart haha

The death of your ego is the awakening of your third eye. When the third eye is awakened you will see things from a different perspective a more wise and understanding one, your sixth sense will start to develop and you will obtain powers. For example if a person comes into my thoughts whom I haven't see for a long while 100% every time this happens within maybe an hour or two boom that person will appear. You will start to sense danger or trouble every time. You can get a sense of a person even just by being near them. There is a good gauge to see how peoples egos are in check just by listening to them for a while, if they say me or I'm or are talking about themselves a lot then probably best to avoid these people. Also egotistical and narcissistic behaviors can run parallel with each other and probably best to avoid people with these disorders. There are many stage's for enlightenment and losing the ego is the first step to being a better you. If you have taken the time to reading this humble opinion then you too are searching for a better you and a much calming happier better life. AMOR VINCIT OMNIA

I would also like the mention the other side of ego. For instance when you fail, your ego can make it all your fault and cause you to believe that you’re more likely to fail in the future. When you succeed, your ego can deflect it and not give you the credit you deserve. It sounds like humility, but it’s really just a small ego. Your ego can be too big or too small, but either way it’s still bad.

Ego is the frenemy that motivates each of us to do more. More than your lazy friends, thinking beyond the herd. However, feeding the ego is where things go wrong. The Ego needs to be managed like a child and be told when to stop talking. I was reminded about my own ego in the beginning of this video, however, i have realized that when things are getting warm in my endeavors, I need to improve on how I react to this as I've spent years at attempting results. The point is I"m aware of my ego based reactions. That's better than not. Just be aware, think back at how you react to things and learn to improve.

Ego is not the enemy as our ego is always trying to protect us. It's jus that in our adulthood, its protection mechanisms are not necessarily the healthiest or best options for us. But it's not our enemy...learning to see through our egos and retraining our minds will yield far more results than thinking that our ego is the enemy.

However, the speaker of such a video just advices you how you can beat your ego. The bible says in Proverbs 11:25 (, I will modernize it) "Whoever gives others a lot, will be fed. And whoever gives others water, will receive water". Or the literal standard version: "A liberal soul is made fat, And whoever is watering, he also is watered." James 3:16 tells us about envy and conflicts: King James Bible: "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work." 1 Corinthians 10:24 talks about the care of others: "No one should seek their own good, but the good of others." The bible indeed is an interesting book, but has to be read with the help of the Holy Spirit, Jesus and interest to not be misunderstood.

Im a very very aware person, I am very self critical of myself, I observe my thoughts, I am constantly trying to do better for the surroundings outside of just myself, I never compare myself I always think of myself (my body and my thoughts) as a separate entity of my own awareness...BUT... even as I do that, even as I think I am the most self aware person that I know in person EGO shows up all the time... I think my ego is so smart that it makes me think that I am acting outside of my own ego ONLY so my smart ego feels better about itself, the ego is taking me for a trip making me believe Im acting outside of it... I feel sometimes prideful that I am acting without ego "Im better because Im not comparing myself to others" see what Im saying, Ego is actually tryint to make me believe its not there, but it is!

Ego isn't the enemy, in fact, it is a part of why you are alive. Your problem is believing that the ego is you (it is not.) Newsflash: The part of you that thinks that the ego is the enemy is also a part of that same ego, as the Ego is the only part of you that can make up 'enemies'. When you meditate, your ego eventually finds it's place as a useful tool rather than an out of control tyrant. The ego does not need to be silenced, it needs to be heard and not obeyed.

Hmmm, Howard Hughes suffered from pretty severe OCD, which was the reason he bought out a movie studio and sat there for months doing work naked. Contamination OCD and a pshciatric condition that made wearing clothes feel uncomfortable because they bring pain sensations to the skin. Often for people who are suffering form sever anxiety disorders or schizo tendencies. People didn't know it at the time so people just called him eccentric, but there was def more to Hughes downfall than just an ego.

I've conceptualize ego recently in a way I relate a to a lot now. Life without ego, and life/nature in general IS a frequency, a wave. Moving electrons, light traveling, earth rotating, waves, tides etc. Ups and downs, embrace them (even the downs, let them reach they're lowest till it rises again) smile at the lows, push up the highs. Ego is absence a movement, it's fighting the movement, it want still, cold, mental, static block: death. Why ? I reckon it's a way to feel secure, still, mental blocking and failing is easy to accomplish, it can feel like home, peace. it's a way for the brain to embrace the fear of death and nothingness, when life's movement is too overwhelming and scary because it's above all and infinite and bound to change again and gain. Ego is a little death you accept right now, mentally, then in your life, to feel still. Instead of present life which is beautifully but sometimes hurtfully always moving, changing infinitely. Ego could simply be our finite boundary of intelligence. life if above all that.

Ego hava a partner call HATRED. When this 2 join forces, even god cant help you. but than, sometimes in life we needs this to protects us from big bully, If we can use this to balance the yin and yang, it is to our advantage, meaning, is only apply to ur enemy, but with great compassion and love to the people that help you during difficult times. 1) Remember those how help you during difficult time. 2)Always remember those who PUT YOU INTO THESE DIFFICULT TIMES.

I killed my ego and honestly I now regret it. If you do the same, the thing you'll learn is while you no longer recognize that part of yourself that wants to be vain, wants to take, wants to shine etc. When you finally get yourself there, everyone else will still be doing those things. It's just human nature to put it plainly. And if you think that you can change human nature by being more humble more conscious of others etc and people will respond as such, they don't.

Once, upon a time, not too long ago, there was no ego. You were yet, but, a child, unaware of yourself and your actions. There was no connections with rewards, attention and recognition. You freely moved to do what ever the thought was that created intent. From this intent, you saw a vision, the end result of the intent. Your mind was silent through the entire task, and no matter how difficult or easy the task was, you had no clue, you simply had no connection with yourself, therefore, there was no connection with reality. So, what if, reality isn't real. Its just an illusion to pull your interest to a set of specific values. This is used for the sole purpose of training someone. When, you look at reality, you should be able to see that it is a creation that took place sometime in the past. Now, what did you also have as a child? An imagination, through curiosity and your imagination, you lived in a state by which reality always fascinated you. What did you do with reality? You altered it, you changed it, you broke it or you improved on it. However, this cool state, by the way allowed your brain to make DMT. Which is where fascination really gets sparked to new levels. Eventually, this period passed and what soon took hold of you would slowly develop your mind to feed on attention -from parents, relatives, friends, school classmates...etc. This would be the beginning to which would lead up to the creation of the "EGO" And all the while, you had no clue that this thing resided in you. So, why didn't you have an "EGO" in the beginning of your life? Well, you didn't have a mind, so, your mind wasn't present to do what? Wander off to other things. Like the cool feed back you go from other people. Now, what is attachment? It wasn't there during the period you didn't have a mind. Lets shorten this up. Tap out of having to need attention and recognition from anyone or anything. Let go of the need to attach to anyone or anything. Your "EGO" is going to fight this process. But, be mindful and push through, eventually, tiny pings of pleasant sensations will sound off in your body. The more you detach from reality, the bigger the pings will become, this will move you to realize something good is going on inside you, mentally and physically, eventually, you will be stepping back to the center of that foundation you were on in the beginning of your life. What is coming will blow your mind away. Imagine, not knowing you exist. Every wakeful second, something is pulling on your interest and your attention is at the center of it. When, a thought pops up or someone ask you to do something, its always a yes. How nice would it be to be able to always look forward to what you're going to do next. This is the life of "JOY" Joy and happiness has always been in you, but, your "EGO" has moved you around so much that you have become a sensation chaser. Lose the I, the me, the self recognition, the self-centeredness and you will find joy, happiness, being content with all of what you experience everyday. Workshops coming soon to a high school near you. I teach a whole new level of being human. While, others teaches you how to create yourself. One question, How easily are you fascinated by all that your senses discovers every second of the day?

The Bible has taught this all along. It’s all rooted in pride. Eve questions if God really didn’t want her to eat of the fruit. Cane burns with jealousy and murders his brother. The Jews murmur and complain that they aren’t provided with more than God has given them. Jesus warns about lust for money, status, and the pride of life. I read this book and feel like it’s a one-eyed observation of the human condition that doesn’t see the full picture. The truest form of destroying the ego (sin) is admitting that you can do nothing but accept the free love and forgiveness of God through Jesus. And living the rest of your days serving others. As Paul says “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Let's not make the mistake of confusing ego with pride, your ego keeps your head on the swivel and that makes you highly functional individual in society, whereas pride, just like any other sin can make your life a living hell

Ego is not bad; not totally bad. It is necessary that you recognize and accept it. Do not try to beat the river into submission. Rather surrender to its current and use its power as your own.

Ego can also be hardened during times of adversity if you don't process or accept what happened - instead you keep adding narratives which feed the ego. The more you hold on to past wrongs or even remain angry at your own past reactions - then that just strengthens the ego in it's fear/defensive guise.
