I just completed building your design. Your videos, part land tools required lists are spot on. Antenna SWR testing is excellent. I wont get it up on my 33 ft tower just yet so for now it is just on a pole 5.ft above ground. Not exactly sky wave height but will get it up at some point Only change I made was I used six, 5/16 x 4 ft fiberglass snow marker poles from Home Depot, cut to specified length. I slow-drilled holes for 6-32 x 1 inch SS screws and nylock nuts with 1/4 inch plastic electrical clamps instead of wire ties for the element wires. Gene / K7TXO

Awesome. We don't get snow marking poles at Home Depot here in GA. I also built a 10 meter only version with 1/2" poles and 1" thick plastic for the hub. I did not record the specs on that one. The 6 meter hex works great for 2m as well.

Great build. The ham that has a wood shop equipped so as you should have no problem building this antenna. Even a part time wood worker with some power tools such as a carpenter's radial handsaw, router with table, a hand power drill with a well designed adapter for drilling straight holes should be able to adapt those tools for this build. Then a skilled wood worker with hand tools might construct this project too. This is a doable project that will be fun, intriguing, and in the spirit of ham radio "home built". Nice set of videos. Power tools aren't really necessary. Sharp hand tools and some craftsmanship can do all this "unplugged".
