As a person who owns 2 DDs and multiple PSAs, I say 2A for EVERYONE. If $300 is what you can afford and you need OR want one, buy it. Though I like what someone else said down in the comments: maybe save a bit longer and go with PSA. Just a thought.

The cheaper you go, the more skill and knowledge about the firearm you need. You may need to replace this, or upgrade that, or fix this, or modify that. So, if the platform is a good base, a little knowledge, time and some work will give you a great firearm. For those just starting, or having little to no knowledge on repair/upgrading; go with the more expensive model that is made with the utmost care and quality. An easy comparison is buying a car. If you know how to fix one, you can buy a junker and fix it over time. If you only know how to put gas in a car and drive it, then you're better off paying more and getting newer. No different with firearms. Of course, with either cars, or firearms, you can go too cheap and wind up with junk. Another reason to have the knowledge if you're going to go cheap.

This is what I've been saying for a good while now. The BCA are not a good first rifle. Get a better rifle, then down the line if you want another build, then you could try out a BCA with the knowledge you've gained after inevitably tinkering with your first rifle

I have some BCA and Aero builds. I’ve found that no matter what you buy you should do a complete tear down and inspection. Screws come loose on all of them! My BCA 6.5 Grendel upper is a tack driver(.65 @100yrds). My BCA 7.62x39 uppers run brass ammo without issue. My AP SPR build was disappointing accuracy wise(3” @ 100yrds, 18” rifle length 1/7 twist). I will be replacing the barrel on that one.

Locktite will take care of some of those problems. Over the past 20 years, so many companies have started making ARs and AR parts so the price has come down due to competition. What makes a charging handle worth $120 over the $15 mil spec one? You willingness to pay that high price.

I have 3 BCA complete uppers, and so far, they all run perfectly. Having said that, I don’t have a ton of rounds through any of them yet, and I have heard about QC issues other people have experienced. All 3 of my BCAs are set up with PSA lowers just like this video. I will also vouch for the quality of PSA lowers. I like to buy their basic lower and add one of their drop-in triggers, which are fantastic.

I have Daniels Defense, Sgt of Arms, Alexander Arms. If you're plinking, PSA and BCA will save you a grand; enough to get enough ammo to decide whether or not it works. My 24" BCA full rifle build in 6.5 Grendel broke a bolt lug at about 700 rounds. They replaced it within a week. I already had a replacement from JP Enterprises. Thing is, it's a common fault for ARs running x39 rounds. JP Enterprises addresses it differently
@chizorama
@chizorama 14 күн бұрын
If it gets people started & if their budget's tight than go for it. The most important thing is getting a good lower set up, can always get a better upper down the road. The biggest thing is getting a good BCG, one of the reasons I have a hard time trusting BCA after breaking an extractor pin after about 300rds, this was years ago, so maybe they got better since then. Would also advise running an A5 buffer system so you can shoot any length gas system from your lower, opens up options.

You get what you pay. My $500 AR is just as good as any mid/high tier. It’s the machining & quality control that you are paying for. A budget AR will have blemishes or certain machine markings that a mid/high tier AR won’t. A budget AR will not be super sniper accurate, but with proper training & the right upgrades you can at least get 1-1.5” groups. Idk 🤷‍♀️ about you but anything that groups sub 2” is good enough for me.

I always tell folks BCA is just fine if youre not buying one of the oddball calibers. Same as you said, stick to 223, 5.56 and 300blk. Most folks I've seen complain about their uppers are talking about bushmaster, Grendel, valkyrie and such. I wouldnt really buy a BCA in those flavors lol. Have owned multiple 5.56 though with no issue and only issue i had out of my 7.62x39 was the typical light primer strike issues

I have two BCA uppers. I haven't had an issue with the 5.56 upper and haven't gotten to test the 300BO upper. I will say that all of the videos I've seen of BCA catastrophic fails have been with 7.62x39. It's almost as if that round wasn't designed for the AR platform. 🤔 I've also seen plenty of videos of top tier brands failing just as bad. My only issue with BCA (and why I'm holding off on buying anything else from them) is the fact that they were employing (undocumented 'migrants'). If someone can confirm that this is a rumor and not true, I will happily start purchasing from them again.

@JR-yn4cu
@JR-yn4cu 14 күн бұрын
You can over tighten muzzle devices and screw up your barrel. I was getting about 1 moa with steel case out of their standard cmv 16” 223 wylde barrel. You can eliminate factors, like trying another optic / mount or trying that same optic setup on another gun. If nothing else, maybe you can put their flash hider back on and return it. I haven’t purchased from them in quite awhile though because it seems a lot of people have experienced even more QC issues with them in recent years.

Problem with Bear Creek is every time they give you a discount code it doesn’t work. I’ve gotten about 30 codes from them but when I go to checkout they don’t work. Most people around here buy the Deltone made in Fayetteville NC. Or they buy the diamonds back. You said near creek has a stainless steel barrel. Not true. It has a stainless steel finish. A paint job. Check it out it says stainless steel finish. A paint job.
