UPDATE: Hey guys, I had a problem with this Tablet and it could be a put off in terms of purchasing one. The Battery is not holding any charge and it's been less than a year. Within 5 mins of unplugging the battery is flat. I will contact Kogan to see if I can get a replacement. Has this happened to anyone else? I will be making a video about for the record.

Just got mine second hand (for AUD$170) seems fine with no issues. The Atlas Go keyboard had a stuck button (B) but I ordered another keyboard since its end of financial year sale.

Cool! Thanks for the review, I've been considering this as an alternative to the Surface Go for use at work doing spreadsheets and office stuff as I have to be fairly mobile. Had no idea about the expandable storage however! I think that may have just made my decision for me!

@@TechwithLawrence I did buy one! A few problems with the build quality but can't complain for the price. It's doing an awesome job handling my workload and even a little light gaming in the downtime. I added a 240gb SSD and that's made it an incredibly capable productivity machine. I've been getting about 5 hours of battery life out of it.

Great video, just a few questions re: the Atlas Go, How do the speakers sound when watching a video? Would you compare it to a standard macbook's speaker or something closer to a tablet? Do you know how it performs when playing low-spec games? And were there any heating issues?

The sound quality is more like a tablet, it's not very loud at 100%. I haven't tried playing any games on it and so far there were no heating issues, it barely gets warm.

This would make a decent and affordable Plex server for home. Currently running Plex on a super low-powered NAS. JB are selling the Surface Go base model for $399 at the time of this posting. The surface go only has 2 CPU cores, but its GPU has 24 processing units compared to 12 on the Kogan Atlas Go with 4 CPU cores. Plex uses Quicksync for HW transcoding, which is supported by both, however, it would be nice to know which of these would perform better in this situation. Does Quicksync rely more on the GPU cores?

Very good video, appreciate the level of details, been looking at getting one myself for study/work. Main question - have you used the keyboard cover with it? if so, what did you think of the typing experience?

Thanks for the feedback Josh. I didn't buy it with the Keyboard cover, as I had previous experience with detachable keyboards and was not a fan of it. I connect it with a mechanical keyboard when I need to type documents on it and a Bluetooth mouse. I do imagine if you do a lot of emails the keyboard cover would be handy, an alternative could be a portable Bluetooth keyboard. Hope this helps! Have a good one

I bought it with the keyboard and the pen. It works very well. I have not had any issues with the keyboard. It is just the pen that I have issues with. Otherwise my tablet is going strong even after extensive use at university for almost a year now.

I was using it today and it did 6hrs with just emails opened and idle and still has 1hr left. I believe if I was on it heavily it would last 4 to 5hrs. This was with wifi and bluetooth on with 50% brightness.

You can get the bundle that comes with an attached Keyboard. I haven't installed a game on this yet. Not too sure how it would perform

How do you get the ssd to show up in windows? I’ve installed mine and it won’t show up in the device manager or anything and it’s less than 400gb

No problem. Use a software like macrium reflect. Then change the boot drive. See tutorials in youtube.

U'll need to go to disk management and then create a new partition from there,once done. Reset it n then should be fine from there. Hopefully.

I have a small Kogan Atlas.Side bar keeps opening.the screen backing is half off.The battery failed after 2 years.Touchpad keeps closing the browser when you use cursor on it.Its rubbish,And annoying.

That was the plastic that is on the screen protector which you're suppose to take off as the last step when puting one on! It still has the screen protector from the factory on

Half decent review , apart from the fact you kept saying surface 'book'....? This is like a surface go, not a pro or a book. Look up surface book, it's the high end surface convertible with a dedicated graphics card. A far cry from this. The expandable ssd was good, I'd like to have seen it using a drawing program like Clip studio paint not just reading emails.
