Love, love, loved the reenactment. I almost spilled my coffee laughing. Helped to make my morning. You are inspiring, I wish you were MY neighbor! Idea for the 40(?) gallon tanks, a planted tank with multi levels for shrimp. Or terra-planted with partial water space for shrimp. Or a small (short) waterfall with a "river" bisecting the tank ending into a small pool. I have too many ideas, but the previous mentioned are the ones I wish I could make myself. Thank you for sharing all that you do.

With the three 40s; I think it would be neat to see them designed to look like one scape. Have a "below ground" or forest floor with dark water & rooted stumps on the bottom. In the middle have some vertical branches & cliff back wall (maybe water trickling down with the illusion of going into water below), looking like ground or midway level. Then have the top look like lush canopy. The ponds look great with so many plants!

Great video as usual Tanner! The re-enactment was priceless. XD. The ponds look great and the front pond is absolutely LOVELY this year. I am really hoping that for one of the 40 gallons you could do a North American mountain stream setup like the streams in the woods near my home in the Blue Ridge mtns. You hit on it a bit with the BiOrb, but I would love to see it 40 gallon with some sassafras and salamanders!!!
@Geo-sesarma4 жыл бұрын
maybe a set up for small US native fish in one of the 40 gallons? Enneacanthus sunfish, Shiners, Darters, Bluefin Killifish, Sailfin Mollies, maybe one of the Cambarellus crayfish native to the US like shufeldtii or texanus . You could play around with native plants too which could be neat, Ludiwigia, Bacopa, Vallisneria, maybe faux cypress knees

Honestly, I am so excited that we´re gonna see some larger setups in the upcoming videos! The mini-projects are nice to watch and it gives a great idea of the sense of the creativity and craftsmanship that is required to make it look natural, but I first started watching your videos when you did the fire-bellied toad setup from scratch and its still one of my favorite videos on this channel, so its great to hear that you'll have several similar sized terrariums to build once the bullfrogs moved. Of course the 350 gallon will be a milestone and I'm already wondering how you'll manage to fit the huge driftwood piece in there considering the small space between the top-edge of the glass and the ceiling. Enjoy these builds and keep up the great work you are doing! Cheers
@zenphotojourney4 жыл бұрын
Yes I'd love to see how he gets that driftwood in too! Maybe he'll tip the tank forward and have someone put the wood in while he and a friend hold the tank.

It would be really cool to do a series of related tanks with the 40 gallon tanks. Something like a dryscape over a paludarium over an aquarium, or even a gradient between minimalist to lush scenes. Just something so the whole rack is one cohesive project would be really neat. Enjoying the updates, and can't wait for the series on your giant tank!
@evangeese46274 жыл бұрын
Or maybe you could try a desert terrarium with succulents and cacti with maybe a leopard gecko. Also, a cool little shrimp is a Sulawesi shrimp, which might be cool in a 40 gallon or smaller tank

I felt like I was there lifting it myself in that truly enthralling and immersive reenactment! Nice update Tanner, can't wait to see what's going to happen with that 350! The room is looking awesome. Don't know how far of a stretch this would be, but i was just thinking how cool it would be if maybe once a week for certain amount of time you could have live cameras on a tank and alternate every week. Considering how much time I spend looking at my fish tanks and animals, I can imagine that people who might not have things like this would really enjoy watching something like that.

Panda garras are the most adorable fish. The best way to get them out of hiding is to make them feel at home: They life in fast flowing water, so you will need a small additional pump that pushes the water across some larger stones or wood.

That is going to be one sweet setup once complete, I envy your commitment to that much space! Only thing I'd be worried about would be the stand casters digging into your flooring over time due to the weight, might want to rip a few boards to wedge underneath the frame to spread it out.
