Sam. As kids back in the 70s we lived on our bikes around fields, parks and woods, everything we had we rigged up, built ramps rode over cars etc etc.One thing we used to do was cut forks, hammer them onto other forks and make easy riders ( it was the 70's )we would swap different size wheels, handle bars, ape hangers, cow horns etc and make the craziest bikes. Would be fun to see the craziest extended fork you can come up with and actually shred
@LiterallyCensoredDaily2 жыл бұрын
I had a modern version of one of those. Took a Wal mart BMX frame, banana seat, and two pairs of 27in road forks wedged together with a hammer and a 2x4. Then, I cut the seat tube out to make it look more "flowy", and cut the cross bar out of the handle bars for fake small ape hangers. The thing was wheelie happy as heck and so unique that four different people tried to steal it, but I kept getting it back.

About 12yrs ago I bought my 10yr old son a pristine Stingray from his older cousin that hated riding it. My son must've hated riding it also but never told me, cause when we bought another house in 2015 he purposely left it behind the old shop. I didn't realize it til a couple years ago when we were donating the kid's old bikes and I told them and my wife we weren't donating the Stingray. A few days later, my daughter, in an argument with my son, blabbed. I was not happy.

@@motov8-garage832 well yeah, short cuts are nice, but what I mean is it increases the odds that someone will walk a bike up the groove, only to come down the stairs, which while fun and cool looking, does have the potential for injury or property damage, which in America, land of bad medical care and frivolous lawsuits, can lead to problems.
