Seth being ready to catch Matt when he’s about to fall shows the care factor he has for introducing people to his sport. There’s like 2 foot and 100kg difference but Seth’s right there ready to get crushed in the name of saving someone. Love it!

This is the exact reason why I don't understand the hate for e-bikes. It allowed someone to get out and enjoy mountain biking who otherwise would have been hesitant, and now they have a tool that allows them to enjoy the hobby while being able to keep up with more experienced riders. This was a great video and you can tell everyone had a great time.
@raypeery63178 ай бұрын
The haters are getting fewer and fewer. Like Matt I have a mtb bike getting dusty. Too hard to get back in shape at my age to enjoy it. Now I have an e-bike and I can enjoy riding again. My buddy who rides almost every day isn't bored, and I can carry on a conversation while we're grinding. E-bikes are wonderful.
@gereshare66595 ай бұрын
But your explanation ISN'T the reason most of us traditional riders don't like them. It's because it has allowed WAY to many people to just jump on bikes and terrorize all types of trails, riding way too fast, and getting themselves and others hurt. I would love if it was only helping older riders, but it is turning our trails into chaotic places. Btw, I have ridden and jumped e bikes and they are loads of fun, I just don't want to see great places turn into roller derbies. The mountain bike community has fought hard to keep trails open. I hope they stay open. I think we all benefit from clear lines between motorized and non. I'm fully aware there is no going back. I only hope we don't lose our "bike soul" going forward.
@raypeery63175 ай бұрын
@@gereshare6659 "roller derby" That's a bunch of hooey. Making up stuff to vilify a group of users is EXACTLY how groups like SUWA operate, and why people have to fight to keep trails open, motorized or not. Stop it.

One of the best videos you've put out in recent memory. As someone who's mountain biked all of my adult life and off-roaded for the last 10 years or so, I think driving a truck off road has greatly improved my mountain biking simply because you have to pick lines for four tires, rather than two. When you get back on two wheels, the line choice seems so much quicker and easier. So I'm not surprised Matt killed it, but I'm also surprised how well Matt killed it.
