Check out the Distant Signal channel. In fact, the cam is practically in his backyard. He does a lot of railfanning around Florida, though, but knows the Tampa area quite thoroughly and has a few preferred spots.

Question: Why does Amtrak only run double headers elephant style versus the more logistically practical, traditional and possibly better looking back to back?

Patrick Wamsley that's just in case one engine breaks down they can just swap leaders and not have to turn an engine saving lots of time especially if there isn't a place where they could turn one available.

@@Inrun8 Makes sense. I saw a video recently (don't remember from who) and a double headed Amtrak hit a semi trailer and that's what they did. Though I much prefer back to back diesel double heading.
