I guess they will use the CPU and AI to make the array shoot one "deep fusion" image and whatever Samsung will name theirs. Then it will be about the number of sensors in the array and how good the AI is for marketing etc.

Same here....I love my SE. $100 brand new for the 128gb version with internals of a 6s with upgraded processor and 4k camera and fits great in any pocket...and you can literally put a new case on it every day for the rest of the year since they are only like $1.50 for the life proof cases since the iPhone 5 and 5s were pretty big deal coming from the 4 so there's so many aftermarket parts for dirt cheap for these guys.

I think they used the "R" in the iPhone XR's name due to the letter "R" coming before the letter "S". The XS was the flagship for Apple in 2018, but the Xr, while being the more "budget" model, was in terms of specs relatively close to the XS. So it would make sense to use the letter "r" for that.

Looks like Apple is doing a periodic design: 4-5S had one design, 6-8 had another design, and X-11 had even another design. SE version seems to have the current tech and inside with previous design. Ex: iPhone SE had 6S internals while looking like a 5S; According with those claims, SE2 will have 11 internals while looking like an 8.

I still use the SE. This is why I enjoy it: - It's small. It fits in my hand comfortably and I can reach every corner with ease. - Headphone jack. I still use it. - The industrial design, I love that boxy look. - Still runs latest iOS. I did actually upgrade to the iPhone X earlier this year, but I gave it to my brother and went back to my SE. I didn't notice any difference in processing power. The camera was way better, but I mean all I do is take pictures of homework. The battery life may have been marginally better? I really liked the display though. Still not enough to outweigh the no headphone jack and big screen. I can get over the headphone jack if the phone switches to USBC next year though

Hope it has wireless charging, I am not a heavy user and always charge my phone at night anyway so I don't care if wireless charging takes longer to charge. Currently have Iphone 7, would consider upgrading to the SE2, especially if the price is $399.

In india where we have a very budget oriented market, iPhone SE was mostly a huge hit cuz of its iconic design and specs of an up-segmented iPhone. Basically a very practical phone. Hope they launch that same size phones again. Long gone those good days. :)

I personally switched to an iPhone in 2014 for the first time (iPhone 5S) because I was living in China at the time and Android had just been expelled from the country. I got used to the 4” design and found it perfect to fit in one hand. I upgraded to the SE two years later and have been using it since (over 3 years now). A note on the last story, I've seen in a video from a company who fabricates ocean plastic to usable plastic that it's hard because there are so many different types of plastic. It's hard to separate all the different kinds. The separation is a whole proces and costs a lot more money so from an economic perspectif, it doesn't make any sense. (ofcourse it has to be done)

About the Tesla situation. Here in Mexico cars can get a ticket assigned based on the license plate. You don't need to be on the car to get it. If someone takes your car and parks it on a prohibited spot, the ticket is assigned to the car and the owner pays for it regardless. I'm pretty sure the same goes for the US. I don't really see the difficulty of the situation. This should apply here.

Lew, I've been using the iPhone SE since it came out in 2016. I never thought of it as a budget phone at all. For me, the SE was all about the 4 inch format with solid internals (it was basically a shrunk down 6s). Earlier this year, I got a new battery and now it has iOS 13 - it just works. At this point, I want to get another year out of this phone and then see about moving to something new, well made, and small if/when it comes along. I really do hope some manufacturer (if not Apple) steps in and does a 4 inch phone with good hardware, a long term update promise, and good build quality.

Circar Bose Yeah no, if these past three years has taught me anything it’s that if you think it’s reasonable (like 5G in 2020) Apple won’t do it until years after the competition. So expect 5G Apple phones in 2022 or 2023. Don’t be believe me? OLED displays, 120Hz displays, in-display fingerprint readers, reverse wireless charging - all things that Apple could’ve put in their latest phone but just chose not to.

@@Athasin Well, if there's now yet another way to authenticate, wouldn't you cause yet another thing that could suffer from being a weak link? ... right now depending on the situation.. either FaceID, fingerprint, 6-digit code or AppleID could be the weak link. Which is more secure? FaceID and Fingerprint is technically more secure, but as a social interaction, it's less secure because say police could force you look at the disply or use your thumb or they would try to comprimise your AppleID... while 6-digit code would be the most secure because after X amount of attempts it would be wiped..

I do think a second SE will come out, but I don’t think it’ll be launched at a price of $399. The old SE launched at a price of $399 because that was the price the iPhone 5S was sold at the time. Realistically, the new SE will be launched at a price of $449 which is the current price of the iPhone 8.

Dude, I'm still rocking the SE, it's my secondary/ business fone, but still. I've been clamoring for a new SE since Face ID became a thing! I just Crushed it in my truck door on Friday and bought another one instantly. I WISH there was a reason for me to upgrade and buy the 11 or Pro but I've tried everything in between so far and it honestly feels like I'm not missing out on anything sticking with a minimalist SE and a much nicer android. I especially like that they may be upcycling the surplus 8 bodies to make these though I'm gonna miss the old boxy design
