Loving video's about hydroelectricity, Personnaly i use a washing machine motor (Direct Drive) and a pelton wheel, i recommend that you find an washing machine motor, they can be found cheap second hand, they have much better cooling and lifespan than closed generator, i burned 3 different closed generator already untill i found the washing machine motor. Basically those closed one's heat's up after few hours and the coil coating just degrade and then short circuit.... If you buy a second hand washing machine make sure it is a Direct drive / Smart Drive motor and not a normal brushed motor ;) Subscribed, i will be here for your next video

I'll look around and will see what I can muster up. I'm glad you like the videos many more to come, going to try and post biweekly or even every week if I can

I wonder if you have enough water pressure for a couple of pulley's so that you can ramp up the RPM from the motor generator. A simple frame for the different parts would be handy for testing purposes, especially if you make some brackets for some pulley's. It would also make it a lot easier to test different blades and housings and what not, because you wouldn't have to deal with mounting the motor generator all the time. And you could even install different motor generators and test them simply by connecting the turbine pulley to a different motor by switching the belt. And what I am also very curious about is what would happen if you would make the housing a tight fit with minimal tolerances around the blades, with only one exit for the water. My best guess is that the RPM might be less, but that the torque will be higher. That is if the printed parts can handle the pressure. And I think that how larger the diameter from the wheel would be, the better it works with a tight fit. Although the blades should be adjusted in size in relation to the amount of water flow, so that it will have the best possible laminar flow with the least amount of oxygen bubbles inside the turbine. Have you ever tried those things before?

I haven't but these are all good ideas I will try to incorporate in future revisions.

@@Beyond_The_Print You need a T.D.T.B. 😁 A Turbine Dyno Test Bank. 👍

I love how every video you try to show the readings on the meter and it's always way too blurry. Almost becoming a meme at this point

Yea I'll make sure it's better for this video coming up. Thx for noticing tho
