I mean, that's a given, some traits I've noticed on top level players in competitive games, is they don't make excuses, they don't get salty (high sodium I mean, like calling the other person names, throwing pad, rage quit), and they can and do compliment their opponents on good plays. If you don't have all 3 of those, forget it, you ain't ever making it to the top, let alone high level. So don't even try, just play casual of milk your bad attitude like DSP or LTG, but you ain't making it top 8 on anything.

never cr. jab with dudley, especially after a knockdown. it serves no purpose. cr lk chain or target combo. don't throw rose after a grab unless they are all the way in the corner. use cr mp into ducking xx super in neutral more instead of relying on cr mk. oh and get that overhead into super confirm! i believe in you!

the infamy of EVO moment 37 and content creators like Maximillian returning to 3S periodically cements the games' legacy. it also doesn't hurt that the sheer amount of effort that went into the art and the systems here give the game an almost ageless quality to it. Just know that there are people who have been playing 3S for a VERY long time, and it's probably going to take a lot of getting bodied to learn the game's particularities.

I just got it a few days ago in the 30th collection. I love it though I have been getting my butt whooped every now and again. Actually just watching this alone taught me a lot (still dk how to cancel into super from standing back heavy punch as Chun-Li lol😅)

Smug you can definitely do a better combo midscreen on Chun. EX machine gun, Cr.hk, ducking upper. And you can juggle cr.hk multiple times on her in the corner, 5 times into ducking upper. That works on like half the cast, all the girls and a few others. Note EX machine gun doesn't hit on certain characters when crouching, chun one of them, also ibuki and oro I believe. Also if you land an early jump hk, you can easily go into super everytime. When you play Dudley jumping is gonna be one of the main parts of your game because his jump is so fast, low to the ground and the normals stuff everything especially j.hk and j.jp. You have to mix up what your actions are, early/deep jump ins, parrying attempts to antiair, etc.

Also gonna note, st.hk, mk ducking into upper combos on crouching characters, so you can use that when EX machine will miss. It also works well in general if you low parry for example. And you should definitely abuse forward.mk, it's plus on block and be easily hitconfirmed into super as well as the target combo. Just note it can be high parried if it gets too obvious, you can try to super to screw up their punish. That's definitely something very key in 3S, if you see you get parried you super anyway and screw their punish up and continue the pressure. Dudley in general just has a ton of hit confirms. forward medium kick, st.hk into ducking (then super if you see the hit), short short, st.mk.. also forward.hp can go into super as well. There's just so many ways to go into super, and once you're in Dudley is like a top 3/5 pressure characters in the game with the high/low/throw game.
