Then move west to Foz do Iguaçu and see the waterfalls and cross 3 countries Paraguay and Argentina, were you can get the best “parrilla” . Moving down to Florianópolis, which is the capital of Santa Catarina state. Wonderful beaches and people. There you have it .

I have been to Rio de Janeiro, Paraty and Foz do Iguacu in October 2023. I can absolutely recommend it. I then flew on to Buenos Aires. Also a great destination. Have a nice trip!

I just got back from visiting a college friend who got married, we stayed in Florianopolis and absolutely loved it! If you have never been to Floripa, you should go!

I can only dream of going to Bonito. I've planned so much but I never have the time or money to go. It is on my Top 3 places of Brazil. There's Ubatuba on North Coast of Sao Paulo, very close to Rio. You can visit Rio, rent a car go south to Paraty and then Ubatuba, drive it to Sao Paulo, enjoy there for a while and from Sao Paulo visit other places or go back home. Wolter, next time try it.

Lençóis maranhenses is an amazing sand dune with blue/green lakes desert. Fernando de Noronha Island for amazing beaches, snorkeling and scuba diving. Chapada Diamantina, for trekking.

Two Locations: 1) Jericoacoara, one of the best beaches in the world and only 20 minutes from my house. 2) Iguazu Falls, one of the most fascinating places in Brazil (and Argentina). I grew up going to Rio since I was 10, so that one's done.🤔

@@AbiNomac Like everywhere, there are places and places. Rio and Bahia are somewhat dangerous, but Minas Gerais and Pantanal are not at all. There are also very safe places to go such as Florianópolis and Foz do Iguaçu which are great destinations.
