The name of the technique shihonage translates into projection in 4 directions.
Usually we practice the 2 basic versions: omote waza and ura waza, where the uke is projected in 2 different directions.
But this technique can be also finished with a projection of uke in the remaining 2 directions. Or actually in any direction you would like to, by adjusting the steps and the angles.
In this video we explain how to find the 4 directions of shihonage in kihon (static attack) and in ki no nagare (dynamic attack).
