the Gorgonns were not described as snakes in the originals myths, only their hairs were made of snakes. They even had golden wings. And they were never beautiful. The maidens version was writted tocristized the abused of powers.

Yeah... It is consistent with the tone carried thru these myths regarding how the "gods" would treat us, mere mortals. Careless disregard at best, to be objects of rape and abuse at worst. But this was also a punishment against Medusa for her pride in comparing her beauty to Athena's (it would seem), and against her sisters for their defiant stance against Athena as well.

If you're having a hard time keeping attention because of the playback speed, I find x1 or x1.25 makes it sound much less monotonous and slowly drawn out. Nothing at all against the creator of video, you tube does this sometimes and even the creators don't know until someone mentions it.
