Thanks Mason, yeah it'll be a lot of hard work no doubt but we're super keen for the process. If nothing else it's a rad excuse to hang out with a good mate while doing something constructive at the same time

There's something special when restoring something that's been a part of your history. On top of that, a 40 Series is a great vehicle to restore. It's cool, iconic, and a classic - in every sense of the word. The car I learnt to drive on was a hand-me-down 1982 KE70 Corolla Wagon that has been with the family since new. I'd love to restore that if we still had it.

This channel has serious potential. You simply gotta restore this and keep it forever ! I'm seriously considering a diesel 40 as my next car, I live in the Austrian Alps and drive in the forest alot. Go for it !

Awesome project. I feel like coming down to lend a hand. Problem is I'd want to drive it home! Did an old wreck of a '69 swb LC - precursor to the FJ40 up back in 1980. Same deal, complete rebuild, but managed to drive it for 4 yrs, all around Oz. Great memories. Good luck with it and it'll be great to see the struggle! 🙂 Cheers PP
